12 salmon recipes you need to try (my very favorites)

If you’ve been following me for more than a day, you’ve probably noticed that I love salmon.

A lot.

I’d hate to even tally up the number of times I’ve written about it on this blog, but I’m guessing it would be somewhere in the ballpark of one million and sixty-two times.

Over the years, I’ve put lots of salmon recipes to the test at home, and I’ve rounded them up to share with you today.  Most of them are super quick and easy, but all of them are tasty and worthy of making for company.

As far as sides for these recipes, I’ll always have some brown rice or quinoa and loads of veggies with my salmon dishes.  Often times, I’ll just add my salmon to a big green salad.

Again, super simple- and healthy!

The salmon cakes are one of my favorite go-to recipes for weeknights.  MT and I had them just last week for dinner actually.

However, if I had to choose a favorite from the list, I’d have to go with the Baked Dijon Salmon.  It is incredible!

There are times when I don’t follow a specific recipe, and all I do is add a little olive oil or Earth Balance and season with some salt and pepper.  That’s always a winner!

Do you enjoy salmon?  If so, what is your favorite recipe?  Links are welcome.

Have a great day!

  1. I wish I like salmon…I really do. My hubby loves it, and I have tried it different ways, but I am just not a fish/sea food girl! …I came over from the “April Favorite Things” link party, but cant seem to find your favorite things post?? Did I miss it?

  2. Oh I love salmon too! We had it cooked in garlic with sweet potato and spinach on Sunday. Will definitely be trying some of those recipes. Thank you 🙂

  3. I can’t wait to try these. I am really horrible at cooking fish. I grew up in house where fish were not allowed, mom thought it was gross, so I am learning to cook these things. 🙂 I love salmon when we are out, but need more practice at home!

    • People who dislike fish seem to REALLY be bothered by the smell especially. I hope that you get lots of good practice making some at home! 🙂

  4. This is awesome! Love salmon but we cook it the same way everytime, so this is perfect!

  5. Aughghh these look so good! Especially looking forward to trying the salmon cakes and the lemon dill one. I usually just grill it so it’ll be nice to have something new to try!

  6. What a great list! I need to cook more with salmon-so good for you!

  7. Your love for salmon = my love for beets! At least we have healthy loves!

    • Exactly! There could be worse addictions. 🙂 By the way, my mom used to eat beets like mad as a child because my grandmother told her that they’d give her naturally rosy cheeks. If that is true, you can probably toss out all of your blush! 🙂

      • Mr. Craves made his own ugly drum smoker and one of our favorites is smoked beets. He peels the beets and wraps the beets in their leaves (cleans them of course) and then wraps them in foil. The beets steamed in their own leaves and the smoke makes the sugars come out, so sweet and tasty – YUM!

  8. You know that I am a lover of salmon:) I enjoy a good filet or a burger – YUMMERS! Thanks so much for sharing – sometimes good to shake things up. Happy Tuesday:)

  9. HUGE salmon fan over here, too! It’s one of our go-to meals. I generally just add S&P and EVOO, bake for 20 minutes with a separate pan of veggies, and voila–super easy, healthy, tasty meal! I could use some variations, so I will def try some of your options here! Love the roundup!

  10. OH MAN – I love me some salmon with lemon and dill. But have you ever had the salmon and asparagus salad from Bonefish grill? I make it at home all the time – it has goat cheese and pinenuts, too. YUM!

  12. Ooh, how to choose. They all sound so good, especially the Dijon Salmon… but then again, Salmon with Pepita Lime Butter has my mouth watering too.

  13. Salmon is beautiful, and these recipes look delicious. Are any easier than the rest? Or are they all pretty easy?

    • I’d say that they are all about the same, but the Baked Dijon probably involves the most work. Figures being that it is my favorite. 🙂

  14. Winter

Salmon cakes!?! I am going to try that immediately–sounds so good! I love smothering a plum chutney on salmon and broiling it. It’s delicious!

    • You will love them! I make a dill sauce with them, and it is SO delicious. It is such a great go-to weeknight dinner. 🙂
