13 ways to make yummy tasting zoodles

If you read my July Favorites, you know that I have been eating zoodles (zucchini zoodles) like mad lately. Despite the cheesy name, they can be so delicious, and they are also quick, easy, healthy, and inexpensive to make.

While any spiralizer will do when turning the zucchinis into zoodles, I use a little contraption called a Veggetti because it involves no set up, works extremely fast, and is easy to clean.  It has actually become a kitchen necessity- ranking right up there with my Vitamix and Kitchen Aid mixer- although it was just a tiny fraction of the price of those two gadgets.

(No- I am not sponsored by Veggetti in any way!)

When I want to prepare dinner quickly, I add the raw zoodles to a skillet and toss them in some olive oil and maybe some minced garlic until they are nice and soft.  I’ll usually sprinkle some sea salt on them as well and sometimes I will add some premade pasta sauce (when I can find one without any added sugar!).  I’ll often have some Trader Joe’s turkey meatballs with them as well for protein.

If I want to get fancy or have to entice MT to eat them too, I’ll turn to some of the following recipes.

  1. I’m going to have to get one of those! I see them at the grocery store all the time. Aldi has an organic tomato basil marinara that has no added sugar and it’s under $2 a jar! It’s really good too.
