What About Bob?
As I told you yesterday, a year ago I was chilling out in Hawaii and taking it easy. I’d work out each morning, but during the day, the most physical exertion I had was feeding myself pineapple.
Yesterday was a different story.
I ran errands and put myself through a nice grueling workout in the morning.
Today I can barely move. Just sitting on my booty typing this post hurts. Even thinking about typing hurt.
It is because yesterday Bob Harper beat me to a bloody pulp.
Everyone always makes such a big deal about how tough Jillian Michaels is and how her DVDs are so challenging.
Don’t get me wrong, she knows her stuff.
But Jillian’s workouts are nothing compared to Bob’s Cardio Conditioning workout.
The workout includes moves like:
Squat jumps (while holding a weight)
Jumping jacks (both with and without dumbbells)
Jump rope (with dumbbells)
Squats (with knee raises, with weights, ones you hold…basically, a ton of flippin’ squats)
Tuck jumps (these make me want to cry)
Standing ab moves (which are a breathe of fresh air compared to the rest of the workout)
This list isn’t even the half of it. It is an intense workout. Even the three background people he has in this DVD look like they are about to grab Bob’s legs and beg for mercy.
I usually hide from this workout like a little kid in trouble, but I guess I was in for some punishment yesterday.
Once I finish this hour long workout though, I always feel amazing. I cannot move the next day, but even so… I feel accomplished.
If you’re looking for a great workout, I’d definitely recommend letting Bob kick your butt. Even though he’s tough, you still kind of want to hang out with him after he makes you cry. Kinda.
