Lunch date at Newk’s Cafe & healthy eats from the week
Yesterday afternoon, Lindsay and I met up at Newk’s Cafe for lunch. When I go there, I usually order the black bean soup, but they didn’t have it on Thursday (probably because most people don’t want hot soup when it is nearly 100 degrees outside).
Since I am pretty adaptable, I ordered the soup and salad combo instead (with vegetable soup and salmon salad).
(This was the largest “half bowl” of soup I’ve ever seen.)
Lindsay is pregnant too, so it was fun to talk about babies and trade our pregnancy brain stories.
Once lunch was over, we were both completely stuffed… but of course, Lindsay just had to mention something about doughnuts, and I spent the rest of the day with a massive Krispy Kreme craving.
Moving on from doughnuts to healthy foods…
I thought that I’d try something new today called my “healthy eats from the week” in which I’ll basically recap just a few of the yummy nutritious meals I’ve eaten throughout the past 7 days.
