Hair before & after shots and healthy eats from the week
If you read yesterday’s post, you know all about my hair rut.
Luckily, I had an appointment at the salon with my wonderful stylist Jessi to spice things up a bit.
When I first sat in the chair and told Jessi that I wanted to make a change, she asked if I was sure that I wanted to do something drastic while pregnant.
I thought it was really considerate of her to ask- especially since (in my experience)- most stylists start to drool when you tell them that you want to make a big change.
So, we agreed to go with a small subtle change for the time-being.
Here’s the really cheesy “before” shot (please ignore the sign on the mirror).
Jessi loaded up my head with foils, and while she was putting them in, we discussed food cravings during pregnancy. All of the talk about pizza, Subway, pasta, and bagels made me sufficiently hungry.

While my color was processing, I read this article from a hairstyle magazine.
Pretty appropriate, right?
After about three hours of foiling, processing, a treatment, cut, and blow-out, here’s how I look today!
Like I said, it sure isn’t drastic, but I think it’s definitely an improvement (thanks, Jessi!).
After my appointment, I took my freshly coiffed head (and the rest of my body too, of course) on over to Subway. I ordered the new veggie sandwich with avocado, which I’ve been dying to try.
Well, it must have been my lucky day because the sweet woman behind the counter threw in an extra one for free since someone had called it in and never picked it up.
I’ll take free Subway any day!
