Part one: Babymoon in Aruba
Our plane got back into Charlotte at about 9 pm last night, and in just a little bit, I am going to pick up our little Lucy. We had such a blast in Aruba, but we sure did miss our little girl!
Anyway, like I said, Aruba was so much fun!
The weather was perfect (although it was very very windy which made for some interesting hair styles and wind blown looks in our photos).
One of the highlights of our trip was on Saturday night when we had dinner on the beach at a restaurant called Passions.
(Pre-dinner photo taken before I had to pull my hair back from the wind)
And when I say that we ate on the beach, I mean we were on the beach with our toes in the sand and the ocean just a few feet away.
I loved sitting by the water with Michael while admiring the sunset.
Talk about romantic scenery!
When we got to the restaurant, I wondered if they were known more for the ambiance than for their food, but the food was surprisingly delicious!
The complimentary appetizer was bruschetta, which I always love.
For my entree, I ordered the tuna with cumin (a spice that I usually don’t like) and a mango/pineapple/cantaloupe salsa.
Michael had steak and lobster and also enjoyed his meal.
I have to say, the only thing that could have made the evening better would have been a glass of wine. Guess we’ll just have to come back post-baby.
I’ll be back later with more photos!
(PS- If you missed them, check out some of the photos that I posted while we were still in Aruba.)
