Part two: Babymoon in Aruba
(In case you missed it, check out part one of my babymoon recap!)
In the short time that we were in Aruba, Michael and I established a daytime routine.
I’d wake up and go to the gym, come back to the room to clean myself up, and then try to wait patiently until Michael got out of bed.
I’m obviously the morning person in our relationship.
Once Michael was up and ready, we’d head downstairs to the breakfast buffet.
Very few things make me happier than a breakfast buffet.
The oatmeal and pancakes were very good, but the Belgium waffles were my favorite by a long shot.
After breakfast, we’d walk right on over to the pool.
One of the many benefits of pregnancy is being able to eat a huge breakfast and then wear a bathing suit.
Once we’d had enough of the pool, we’d relax in the cabana for a bit.
I came prepared with my vacation staple: trashy magazines.
At exactly noon, we’d eat lunch at a restaurant called Gilligan’s (because my body simply cannot wait a second longer).
On our first day there, Michael ordered a Cobb salad for lunch. The plates were really small and overloaded, so food kept falling onto the table and the ground, including his hard-boiled egg.
Luckily, a little lizard came by and ate it up.
He was an unselfish lizard though, and he spread the word to his friends…
There were lizards everywhere, actually. For the most part, I thought that they were pretty cute…unless they were running over my feet.
After lunch, we’d take a dip in the ocean or walk along the beach. The sand was so soft and smooth. As Michael said, it was like walking on pillows!
Remember how I said that few things make me happier than a breakfast buffet? Well, nothing makes me happier than spending an entire day with my husband.
Hope you have a great rest of the day!
