Part three: Babymoon in Aruba
This will be the final recap of my vacation (I promise). If you missed these posts, be sure to check them out:
Our evenings in Aruba were really laid back and relaxing. With the exception of our dinner at Passions, we went for very casual dinners.
On the first night there, we ate at Hard Rock Cafe.
My salad was supposed to come with pecans and dried cranberries too, but I guess they forgot to add them (which was a bummer). Even so, it was really good.
Silly Michael got to take this glass home for just $2.50, so we now have it as a souvenir.
On Sunday night, we had dinner at Senor Frog’s, and I was pretty excited because I had never been to one before that evening.
I ordered a chicken sandwich, and it was one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had. I have no clue what made it so special, but I loved it!
On second thought, maybe it was the honey mustard dressing. I’ve been on a huge honey mustard kick lately!
Michael and I were entertained like teenagers when we saw this man sitting at the bar.
I wonder if he knew that his underwear was showing?
There were a couple of nights when we walked over the the pier after dinner and listened to some live music at this adorable restaurant/bar called Bugaloe.
And I’ll tell ya- they make a killer non-alcoholic banana daiquiri.
I’m having some serious vacation withdrawal right now, but we’ll definitely be back to Aruba someday. I know of so many people who return year after year, and I can definitely see why they would.
We both loved it!
By the way, I picked Lucy up from the kennel at about 9 am yesterday. I was so excited to see her, but my goodness… she was completely grimy and filthy!
Apparently, she had just come from the “puppy mud pit” which was fun for Lucy- not so much fun for her mommy.
Needless to say, Lucy had a bath as soon as we got home, and she’s all clean and soft again.
I cannot believe how much bigger she got while we were away!
Even though we had an incredible time on vacation, it was kind of nice to sleep in our own comfy bed again, and we’re certainly happy to have our Lucy back home with us!
What was the best vacation you’ve ever taken? Our honeymoon in Maui is still number one for me, but Aruba was definitely up there!
