Gymnastics fail & healthy eats from the week (8/3)
Did anyone watch the Olympics last night? I was looking forward to watching gymnastics all day long, and I was so disappointed when a storm hit and knocked out our cable. I had to look up the results online instead, and it just wasn’t the same.
Normally, I adore nighttime thunderstorms, but last night, I definitely wasn’t a fan!
Moving onto food…
I’m pretty pleased with all of the healthy foods I’ve eaten this week. There’s certainly a lot more to show this week than last week!
Without further ado, here are my healthy eats from the week…
Healthy Eats from the Week
Napa salad with salmon from Big View Diner
2 whole grain Van’s waffles with banana, strawberries, chia seeds, and cinnamon honey
Chocolate chip cookie Larabar (eaten at music on the green)
(with 5 cherries, 1/2 frozen banana, 4 ice cubes, 1/2 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk, stevia, a dash of cinnamon, 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed, and a scoop of vanilla protein powder)
Splurge of the Week
Those apple fritters are seriously so good. I actually went back to The Peach Stand on Wednesday for one, but they didn’t have any.
Something tells me that I’ll be back soon to check for more though…
What were some of the healthiest foods you’ve eaten this week? I didn’t realize how much salmon I ate until this post. All of those omega-3 fatty acids sure are good for my little man’s brain power though. At this rate, he’ll be a rocket scientist!
