Weekend recap (squeezing in some hubby time)
I never expected to be baby-free this past weekend. In fact, I declined many invitations to parties and even a baby shower because I assumed that I’d be in the hospital!
Even though I’m really anxious to have the baby already, I was really excited to have another weekend alone with Michael.
On Saturday, we went on a dinner date to The Cowfish, which probably wasn’t the smartest choice being that I cannot eat sushi while pregnant.
Even so, dinner was delicious.
After dinner, we walked on over to Crate & Barrel, so I could drool over all of their holiday items.
Michael bought this adorable Halloween mug for me, and it is making me ridiculously happy (it doesn’t really take much). I’ve been using it to sip my evening tea with honey.
As you know, I’ve been missing wine in a major way while I’ve been pregnant, and I fully intend on having a glass of wine at the hospital as soon as the baby is born.
So, we hit up Total Wine and stocked up our wine fridge on Sunday. I even got some pumpkin beer!
Let’s just hope that I can drink it soon.
On Sunday evening, we grilled out as usual and watched Top Gun. Would you believe that it was my first time seeing it?
Michael and I were actually inspired to make a list of well-known movies that we had never seen, so we can watch them when none of the newer releases seem appealing…
Although I’m not sure if we’ll ever get through that list with a baby coming!
Are there any popular/classic movies that you have never seen but really want to watch? I added Single White Female and Dead Man Walking to the list last night.
Have a great day, everyone!

I can’t believe you haven’t had the baby yet either! I thought you would go early when you told me you were already a little bit dialated a couple weeks ago! I guess you never know! I can’t BELIEVE you had never seen Top Gun!? I hope you liked it! I have never seen Casablanca. I guess I should watch it, huh?
You definitely need to see Casablanca! Personally, I didn’t love it, but it is one of those movies you have to see.
Single White Female is a CLASSIC!!! Here’s to Baby Turner making an appearance and soon. I watched Hocus Pocus yesterday afternoon. Happy Monday:)
OK, you sold me. We’ll have to watch it soon. Glad you got to see Hocus Pocus!
I saw As Good As It Gets for the first time a couple weeks ago- SO cute!
…as are you
Hope you are a mommy soon!!
Thanks, Brittany!
