Green pumpkin smoothie & Cake Boss
My day is off to a healthy start, and I feel really energized (especially since the baby slept in until 8:30 am).
After my usual morning routine with him, I had a nice cold glass of ice water with lemon followed by a delicious smoothie.
(Yes. My Valentine’s decorations are out already. I couldn’t resist!)
Green Pumpkin Smoothie
1 scoop vanilla pea protein (plant-based protein is my favorite)
Huge handful of spinach
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1/2 tablespoon ground flaxseed
1/2 tablespoon coconut oil (melted)
dash of cinnamon
dash of pumpkin pie spice
3 or 4 ice cubes
Blend it all together and enjoy!
Despite my healthy morning, I wasn’t quite so healthy yesterday.
I absolutely couldn’t resist having a bit of this incredibly delicious cake made by my father (who shall now be called Cake Boss).
Unlike most times, I did save some for MT as well.
It’s a good thing that I didn’t know my father could make such amazing desserts while I was pregnant. I probably would have asked him to bake me something everyday!
Do you watch Cake Boss? MT and I love that show, and we’re always amazed by Buddy’s creations. I’d love to visit his bakery in Hoboken one day.
