Valentine’s Day recap (love & Lionel Richie)

Did everyone have a nice Valentine’s Day?

Mine was completely perfect.

Aside from my morning chocolate banana breakfast smoothie, there wasn’t really anything healthy about it.

Check out MT’s Krispy Kreme doughnut breakfast for example.

And the red velvet cookies that I made for him.

Michael and I met MT at Dean & Deluca for a lunch date, and it was so much fun to spend a little time with my two Valentines.

When I got home, there were a dozen beautiful red roses waiting at my door (obviously from MT).

A girl could get used to coming home to something like that!

Even though we could have made dinner reservations for Valentine’s Day, we decided to stay in with our little guy instead.

We started our meal with some shrimp cocktail, and we had lobster tails served with roasted broccoli, salad, and brown rice for the main course.

Usually, Michael wakes up from his naps right as I am about to eat.  In fact, I pretty much always have a baby on my lap while I’m eating my meals, but last night, Michael gave his mommy a wonderful present.

He slept through our dinner!

It is a good thing too.  I can’t imagine that eating lobster with a baby on my lap would have been too easy.

MT and I also had some wine along with strawberries and chocolate while we watched the Charlie Brown Valentine’s special.  I love how there’s a Peanuts cartoon for every holiday.

Now let’s flashback to earlier in the evening when I got the best present ever…

Seriously, how perfect is this mug for me?

Needless to say, I’ve already used it- especially since MT also got me some of my very favorite tea.
