Pretty nail polishes for spring

Before Michael was born, I’d paint my nails a few times a week, but I’ve taken a little hiatus for the past four months.

Until now.

Spring polishes are just too pretty to resist!

Not only that, I actually find that giving myself home manicures is pretty relaxing, and polished nails make me feel pulled together (even when I’m not).

And sometimes my polished fingernails make me break out into song…

“I feel pretty,
Oh, so pretty,
I feel pretty and witty and bright!
And I pity
Any girl who isn’t me tonight.*

That’s completely normal, right?

There are so many polishes that I love to wear during the spring, but these are some of my favorites…

9. Julep Renee// 10. Zoya Erin // 11. Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Mint Sorbet// 12. MAC Play Day// 13. China Glaze For Audrey

These colors are all great for the summer too!

Admittedly, I bought the Erin polish by Zoya simply for the name, but the color is soft and beautiful for this time of the year.  By the way, Zoya polishes make fun gifts for girlfriends because they all have girl’s names, and what girly-girl wouldn’t want a nail polish named after her?

What colors will you be wearing on your nails this spring?  I’m actually wearing For Audrey right now- which refers to Audrey Hepburn.  It makes me so happy to see the Tiffany box blue color on my nails.   All I need now is a tiara.

Have a great day!

(PS- I went to a fantastic health lecture by Dr. William Sears last night, and you can expect to see a recap tomorrow.)

  1. My nails are begging for a manicure big time I just purchased some pretty colors on the clearance end cap at Walgreens so I may have to treat myself to a personal pampering session

    • I definitely think that you should! And aren’t those clearance caps awesome? I also love the ones at Target. They suck me right in. :)

  2. 4,5,7,12 please and thank you…and if someone could also paint my nails for me, that’d be fab!! :) )

  3. The Zoya Audrina is beautiful. I love to have polish on my nails but it always chips after 2 days. So frustrating! What kind of top coat do you recommend? I’ve tried several but maybe I haven’t found “the one” yet.

    • I’ve heard amazing things about the Seche Vite top coat. I definitely want to try it, but right now, I just use one by Sally Hansen. It works pretty well. :)

  4. Love all those shades! I may have to pick up 2,3 and 12 as those are all so gorgeous. Oh and I love For Audrey as well one of my all time faves. Have a great weekend!

    • The For Audrey is one of my all-time favorites. It is actually a bit bolder for what I’d normally wear, but I love it. Hope you have a great weekend too!

  5. Oh I love a Spring nail polish! I have the Mint Sorbet one by Sally Hansen and love it! There is a periwinkle color in Ulta’s store brand line that I’m craving for Spring! I’ll definitely be picking that one up soon! :)

    Have a wonderful weekend!!

    • I usually gravitate toward those too. I’m pretty classic/preppy with my clothes, but I guess I’m starting to get wilder with my polish shades these days! :)

  8. Love #8 and #13. Seeing that it’s still cold, I’ve been sporting my winter polishes…still.

  9. I usually go for dark. I’ll have to try that!
