Weekend recap (baby milestone)

In all honesty, most of my weekend was pretty boring.

It consisted of rain, blog work, an I Love Lucy marathon, coloring Easter eggs with MT’s kids, food, and a movie at home.

In fact, I was all set to skip my weekend recap altogether.

But then last night at about 7 pm, my weekend got very exciting.

I was playing on the floor with Michael before story time, and then suddenly…he rolled over!

MT joined us upstairs after I called down to tell him what had happened, and he got to see it for himself after Michael rolled over again.

For weeks and weeks, Michael had been so close to rolling over, but his shoulder kept getting in the way.  We had been patiently waiting for the big moment to arrive, but friends and family kept telling us that it would problem happen during the night while he was in his crib.

While I know that what Michael did wasn’t anything revolutionary, groundbreaking, or genius by most people’s standards, it certainly was amazing to this proud mommy, and I’m so glad that I got to see it when it happened.

All of these little moments are just so priceless, and they make even the most uneventful days pretty spectacular.

Did anything exciting happen in your world over the weekend?

Have a great day!

  1. That’s crazy how it can go from almost happening to BAM…he rolled!!! I seriously can’t wait until I see Nia do that, but then I’ll also know that I’m in for trouble and can no longer just “run to grab something quickly” and know she’ll be ok. I’ve really enjoyed this time of her not moving much haha
