Favorite things for baby (6 months old)
It is really hard to believe that my little man is 6 months old already!
On one hand, I am a bit sad that it is all going by so quickly. On the other, he just keeps getting to be so much fun, and I love watching his personality come out more and more.
This month’s favorites are quite different from the last few that I’ve done and really reflect Michael’s development…and the fact that he is no longer just a big ball of mush.
MT bought one of these books for Michael last weekend (the one about fish), and it was an instant hit. There’s something about the pages that sucks Michael in completely. We’ve probably read it 25 times already!
When Michael was a newborn, this was hanging from his baby carrier. He probably didn’t have a clue that it was there, and if he did notice it, he surely didn’t seem to care. I finally removed it, but about a week or so ago, I realized that Michael would probably love it now. Sure enough, he’s all into it and plays with it while we’re driving in the car. He’s always really good in the car anyway, but this has helped to alleviate any boredom when we are at those dreaded stop lights. (Any other mommies have babies who hate when the car has to stop for traffic lights?)
I did a review of The Honest Company a few months back, but I have to say that I love it even more today. It is basically a monthly delivery service, and you can choose to receive non-toxic products for the home or baby. The body wash and laundry detergent are my favorite products from the line. I may even do a follow-up post soon…
Santa brought this to Michael for Christmas, and he’s finally old enough to play with it. Before bed, we’ll sit on his floor together and watch the balls bounce all over the hive when we push the top. It cracks him up nearly every time (unless he has a bottle on his brain).
As I shared last week, Michael just recently started to experiment with solid foods. Rather than buying baby food in the store, I’ve been making his food (and will continue to do so). These containers are just perfect for storing what I’ve made, and they are just the right portion size. I love the little smiley faces on the containers. They came that way, but MT thought that I drew the smiley faces myself. Maybe I’ll draw some on our drinking glasses- and most definitely on our wine glasses!
Michael has a complete blast in this thing. I love watching him jump in it and spin himself around. It really wears him out which probably explains all of the naps that he takes.
If you have a baby, what are your favorite things for him or her right now? Michael is also loving his high chair. I think it makes him feel like a big boy.
Have a great day!
