Weekend recap (one with nature)

My weekend was pretty nature-filled.

It consisted of lots of walks, a visit to the farmer’s market, and even a movie about nature.

On Saturday morning, I had breakfast at The Original Pancake House (not to be confused with the International House of Pancakes) with my parents before we headed off to the largest outdoor farmer’s market in Charlotte.

In preparation for tomorrow’s post (hint hint), I loaded up on fresh produce and even bought some natural soaps for the tub- not that I’ve taken any baths in the past 7 months or anything.

I even got a bouquet of freshly cut wildflowers.

On Sunday, I took some nice long walks with the baby and also took my step kids to see the movie Epic.  It was a really cute movie, and I’m sure that it is awesome in 3-D.

It’s  a good thing that I spent a lot of time outdoors over the weekend because the weather isn’t so lovely this morning.  It is the perfect day to stay inside with my little guy and do lots of housework (with The Hills playing in the background, of course).

What did you do this past weekend?

What was the last movie you saw in the theater?

Enjoy the day!

  1. This is exactly my kind of weekend. I didn’t get a chance to go to the market this weekend but I’m hoping to next. I need some more freshness in my life. Lovely photos by the way!

  4. Sounds like a great weekend! I love the Farmers Market but ours isn’t nearly as nice as yours by the looks of it. Have a great week!

It certainly was, and those are the best kinds of weekends. :)

  6. Aren’t markets the best? And that oatmeal looks so good- for some reason restaurants always have the best oats.

You’re so right. I can never get my oats to turn out as good!

  7. Those freshly cut wildflowers look beautiful! That breakfast looks so yummy, oatmeal is one of my favorite meals! And can’t wait for your next post!

The flowers are even prettier in person- and just $5 for the bunch!

    Thank YOU, Jamie! :)

  9. I would love to go to a huge farmers market. Ours is really small basically because my town is small haha. See, when I’m home with Nia (laying around) it’s the Kardashians on in the background (if they’re on E! which they almost always are lol).

  10. The Kardashians seriously own that network, don’t they?
