The Honest Company (customer service & products)
I know, I know…
Another post about The Honest Company. I swear that I’m not affiliated with the company in any way, and I haven’t been paid to mention them a billion times- or even at all.
However, I was asked by several readers to discuss what I think of their products, so I thought I’d do one last review.
Any more reviews, and I will be requesting a commission from Jessica Alba.
I’m subscribed to receive the family essentials bundle.
With this bundle, I’m able to select any five products that I’d like each month for a flat rate of $35.95, and I have the option to select up to three add-ons for a discounted price. I can also choose whether I’d like to receive my bundle every 4, 6, or 8 weeks.
The website is very easy to navigate, and it is a breeze to make changes to your settings.
Here’s an example of what your account dashboard might look like:
So far, I’ve gotten and used the following products:
Dish soap (white grapefruit)
Fruit & veggie wash
Sunscreen SPF 30
Shampoo & body wash
Healing balm (great for diaper rash)
I’ve been very satisfied with everything that I’ve tried. The fact that the products don’t really have a strong fragrance does take some getting used to, but I just remind myself that chemicals usually come along with a lot of scented products anyway.
The standout products for me (so far) have been the body wash and the multi-surface cleaner. I use the wash on myself and on Michael’s very sensitive skin, and I’m being completely truthful when I say that the multi-surface cleaner is the best that I’ve ever used. It is great on my granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, and wood surfaces.
I go through it like crazy!
Speaking of the cleaner, the first time that I got it in the mail half of the bottle had spilled out all over the box, and it completely ruined my copy of Jessica Alba’s book (which was included in the same shipment).
I called The Honest Company’s customer service, and they were so incredibly sweet, friendly, and apologetic. They shipped off a new bottle and a new book with no questions asked.
Well, some time went by, and I still hadn’t gotten my package in the mail, so I called customer service again.
Once more, they were just wonderful and told me that the same thing happened again with Fed Ex, and they rushed my items to me immediately. Sure, it was a bummer that the cleaner leaked in the first place, but they couldn’t have been more accommodating.
And just to let you know, I was informed that they’ve since figured out a way to repackage their products before they are shipped, so they aren’t harmed in transit.
To date, I’ve gotten two bundles, and I definitely plan to continue the service. In fact, I’ve already added the toilet cleaner, body lotion, and floor cleaner to next month’s delivery and cannot wait to try them!
This subscription service is just perfect for anyone who is concerned about keeping toxins out of their home and/or those who do not want to use harsh products on their little ones. I’d actually love to try their diapers and wipes when my existing stash runs out.
Oh and if you’re not into subscription services, I’ve learned that some stores will actually be carrying part of the line soon, including The Baby Grocery Store!
I hope that this was informative. If you have any questions that I didn’t address, just leave them in the comments, and I’ll answer them for you.
Have a great day!
