Weekend recap (Day trip to Greenville, SC)
As you know, my husband and I love taking day trips to explore the beautiful sites throughout the Carolinas.
We thought it would be fun to make our way to Greenville, South Carolina on Sunday since I had never been there. MT actually worked there when he first graduated from college (although it has changed a tiny bit since then).
Before we even hit the road, we enjoyed a nice breakfast at The Original Pancake House in Charlotte.
The drive was about two hours long, and with the 90s station on Sirius radio, the time seemed to fly by pretty quickly.
When we arrived, we walked around the downtown area and did some window shopping and people watching.
We also strolled through the most beautiful scenic area called Falls Park.
After our sweaty 90-something degree walk, we had lunch at a place called The Green Room. Michael absolutely loved it because it had a ton of ceiling fans. He was mesmerized!
We drove along some back roads on our way home, and I couldn’t resist taking a photo of this adorable country general store/gas station.
Seriously, how cute is that place?
We’re talking about venturing out and exploring Knoxville, Tennessee soon too. Can’t wait!
Did you take any day trips over the weekend?
