Part one: Weekend recap (RV)
A few weeks ago, MT asked if I’d be interested in taking a trip to Knoxville, Tennessee. As you know, we love taking drives, and he thought that going to Knoxville would be something fun and different.
Never mind the fact that there was an also an air show going on there that he wanted to participate in.
I had never been to Knoxville and thought it sounded like a good time, so I told him that Michael and I were in.
And then a few days later, MT asked if I’d like to take the trip in an RV.
We actually got into a show on HGTV awhile back that was all about celebrity RVs, and at the time, we had talked about how much fun it would be to travel around the country in one. The amenities on some of those things were completely unbelievable and some of them could have easily made comfortable full-time homes.
I figured that a weekend road trip in an RV with a 9 month old would definitely make for a little adventure, and at the very least, we’d have some stories to tell.
And I accepted the challenge.
MT pulled up in our rented RV on Friday afternoon, and as expected, it didn’t look anything like the celebrity RVs I had seen on television.
The pictures on the side gave the RV a little extra pizzazz, don’t you agree?
The RV was 30 feet long and surprisingly roomy inside. Even so, I still managed to hit my head about 5 times throughout the course of the weekend.
Michael instantly felt at home with his Barney DVD playing while MT and I sat up in front and enjoyed the beautiful view of the mountains.
We also saw a lot of billboards relating to moonshine, Dollywood, and Rusty Wallace.
The only one that truly piqued my interest was for a J. Crew factory outlet. I’ve actually been to the outlet before, and it was truly like visiting heaven on earth.
Now that I have completely distracted myself with thoughts of J. Crew, I am going to close part one.
You’re not going to want to miss part two. It is definitely entertaining!
