Favorite Things (August 2013)
It is a few days late, but I still wanted to share a lot of the things that I loved using and eating during the month of August.
Some of these should come as no surprise.
1. Coco Mama Banana Cinnamon Quinoa Cereal
I already dedicated an entire post to this cereal, but I had to bring it up again. It is so so good! The brand name kind of threw some people off because it makes it sound like the product contains chocolate. This might disappoint some of you, but it actually does not contain cocoa.
My skin has been kind of congested lately, but using this mask a few times a week for the past three weeks has really helped. The mask is also supposed to be great for anyone with very oily skin.
3. TCBY almond milk yogurt
Finallly! Finally! Finally! I’ve learned to live with being lactose intolerant pretty well, but it is always sort of a bummer when my friends want to get fro-yo…and I have to order sorbet. I believe that chocolate is the only flavor available so far, but I am hoping that TCBY has vanilla in the works. I’m a vanilla girl all the way!
Even though I’ve had this oil in my stash for awhile, I only just started to use it again last month. I add a few drops to my nighttime moisturizer, use it to soften my cuticles, and add it to my body lotion. It is so nourishing, and my skin just drinks it right up.
Creamy, pigmented, all natural, and extremely inexpensive, there is absolutely nothing to dislike about these products. There’s also a wide range of colors and options to choose from along with some MAC lipstick dupes.
Since discovering this site, I am pretty sure that I have read every single interview and product review in the archives. It is loaded with all sorts of useful information, and I especially love this recent video. It is all about the unregulated ingredients found in so many brands of cosmetics. A must see!
What things did you enjoy using or eating during the month of August? Have you tried TCBY’s new almond milk fro-yo?
