Is it a boy or a girl?
On Saturday, my little family of three learned something pretty significant about the sweet addition who will be turning this place into a household of four next April…
After a very long morning of anxiously waiting around at home, MT, Michael, and I headed off to the imaging center. It took nearly an hour to get there (talk about torture), but we made it there in plenty of time.
The office was warm and inviting, and Roxanne, the owner and technician, was so friendly and personable. At times, she seemed just as excited as us! If you live in the Charlotte area and you’re expecting, I’d highly recommend Lake Norman 3D Imaging.
Anyway, Roxanne began the scan and checked to make sure that everything looked fine with the baby. After what seemed like forever, she told us that she just wanted to get one more clear shot of the genital area before giving us a definite confirmation- and then she added, “But I’m already certain about what it is.”
MT told her that we both thought it was a girl.
After a few seconds of silence, she said, “That’s what I think too.”
She was able to get more of the shots that she needed before confirming that Baby #2 is definitely a GIRL!!!!!
I always thought it would be so wonderful to have both a boy and a girl, so to say that I’m ecstatic would be the understatement of the decade. Now I’ll have my little prince and a little princess.
It is safe to assume that I’ll be on Pinterest constantly for the next few months looking for nursery inspiration (although I am already have an idea of how I want to decorate her room), and I’ll be shopping for a lot of a girly pink outfits.
We’re going to keep the name a secret until she’s born, but I’m so happy to be able to share this news with you today, and your constant support and enthusiasm is always so touching.
Moms of girls- Is there anything that I need to know about raising a baby girl? Any must-haves that I should add to my shopping list?
