Nightly Pregnancy Skin Care Routine
Since I promised that I’d deliver this post a few weeks ago, I figured that I should probably hold true to my word.
If you haven’t seen it yet, you can also read all about my morning pregnancy skin care routine. That’s also where I explain how my skin changed during pregnancy which is why I updated a lot of the products I had been using previously.
I use this after I remove my eye makeup. I switch to different eye makeup removers all of the time, but right now, I really like the oil-free one from the Target line. After my eye makeup has been removed, I put some of my Belli Anti Blemish Face Wash on my Clarisonic. I actually stopped using my Clarisonic for awhile, but I came back to it a few months ago, and I’m so glad that I did. It makes me skin so smooth! In case you’re curious, I use the delicate skin brush head.
Just as I wrote in my morning skincare routine post, I dilute the ACV with water and apply with a cotton pad as a replacement for toner. It’s natural, cheap, and works like a charm!
I use this the same way that I do during my morning routine- by adding a few drops along with a few drops of water to a cotton pad before rubbing it gently all over my face. I find that it really does help to control breakouts, and it is a nice alternative to salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide.
I use this instead of the Sibu moisturizer that I use during the day because I find that it is a little bit heavier, and I prefer to use heavier products at night to really nourish my skin while I sleep.
And this is where I tend to get a bit crazy with the oils. Just so you don’t think I’m completely ridiculous, I don’t use them all every night.
I’ve raved about this 1,000 times over. It is such a nourishing treatment, and I just adore how it hydrates my skin.
If I have any breakouts, this oil helps to clear them up really fast. It also helps to fade any red marks that they may have left behind.
I only use this oil about 2-3 times per week, but when I do, it makes my skin glow the next day.
Some undereye creams are way too heavy for me and can actually irritate my eyes, but this one is nice and light yet hydrating at the same time.
Right before I get into bed, I’ll do some oil pulling, brush my teeth, and then apply a moisturizing lip balm. I’ve been using Honey Trap for quite awhile now, but I’m almost all done with it. I’m really in love with it, but as I mentioned in my Fall & Winter Beauty Essentials post, MT isn’t a big fan of the taste!
I’ll usually put some coconut oil or Shea butter on my hands and feet before I go to sleep as well. I realize there are a lot of steps here, but hey, whatever works, right?
Do you have a nighttime routine that works for you? I’d love to hear what products you’re using- especially if they are on the more natural side.
Have a great day!
