Weekend recap (baby clothes shopping & date night)

Happy Monday!

I had such a fun weekend with my two Michaels.  I took loads of pictures, so I’m just going to dive right into the weekend recap.

We did tons of baby clothes shopping on Saturday for our baby girl, and we even scored some cute things for Michael.  I’m going to do a separate post showing what we got, but here’s a little preview…

I could probably spend hours in Baby Gap.  Without a doubt, it is my very favorite place to shop for baby clothes.  And the new Paddington Bear collection is just precious!

That evening, MT and I went on a long overdue date to McCormick & Schmick’s seafood restaurant.

We were seated in a private booth with high walls around us which was so perfect.  I always wanted to eat in one of them, and I nearly squealed with delight when the hostess walked us over to it.  The main dining area is really lovely, but the private table just made the whole experience so cozy and romantic.  Plus, MT and I are both people watchers, and being seated alone forced us to focus on each other!

We shared the jumbo shrimp cocktail- and probably finished the whole thing in under three minutes.

MT ordered the blue cheese wedge as another starter and the Ahi Tuna as his main entree.  I remained as predictable as ever and had grilled salmon and asparagus.

I only order dessert when I’m dining out if a hot apple crumble is on the menu, and as luck would have it, McCormick & Schmick’s has one of the best apple crumbles that I’ve ever tried.  MT and I shared it, and they put the ice cream on the side for him since I can’t have it.

By the way, the restaurant was very accommodating regarding my lactose intolerance which is always greatly appreciated.

We went to lunch at Chili’s on Sunday before running a few errands, and Michael seemed to have a pretty great time!

I kept my entree on the lighter side since I wanted to save room for our usual Sunday night dinner and popcorn.

After dinner, we watched the Super Bowl…which I found to be super boring (with the exception of the amazingly talented Bruno Mars).  Even the commercials were a bit disappointing…although I was excited to see the Full House boys and ALF.

Did you watch the Super Bowl?  What did you think?

I’m off to practice my Bruno Mars dance moves!

  1. Your little girl will be rockin the polka dots and stripes like her mama does – cute:) The food looks delicious – YUM! I prefer date night out some place with out TVs – focused on each other then. Your wee dude has the best smile:) Happy Week!

  2. That outfit for your little girl to be is sooo cute!

Oh and I agree maybe it’s because I’m not a big sports fan, but I was bored to tears haha.

The commercials were pretty good though.

    Best,

  3. That little top is PRECIOUS! I knew you’d get salmon, hehehehe.

  4. The polka dot top is just adorable. Baby girls’ outfits are so cute. I love shopping for gifts at Baby Gap. Especially when you can catch a good sale, they are such good deals.

  5. The cute blue polka-dotted blouse is adorable. The Gap brand is humanitarian conscious and doesn’t use slave or exploited labor in making any of their products. Good choice. It looks like you had a lot of fun and good eats. It’s fun to shop for new outfits for our cute baby girls.
