5 YouTube fitness & health channels you should follow

As many of you probably know, I am a big fan of working out at home.

I am not a runner and don’t belong to a gym (although there is one in my neighborhood clubhouse that I’ve admittedly never used).  Aside from going on nice walks and playing with my toddler, I get my exercise by following along to workout DVDs in my home library and through videos on YouTube.

YouTube is an amazing source for free workouts as well as healthy recipes and lifestyle information.  Here are five channels that I subscribe to and really enjoy!

5 YouTube health & fitness channels you need to watch

Fitness Blender

Who you’ll follow: Daniel and Kelli, a husband and wife team

What you’ll find: Cardio, toning, pilates, and yoga workouts and some fitness tips and recipes

Who should watch:  Men and women who like variety in their fitness routines or anyone looking for an intense at-home workout

Sarah Fit

Who you’ll follow: Sarah Dussault, an upbeat health and fitness blogger from Boston

What you’ll find:  Workout videos, healthy recipes, food hauls, weight loss tips and exercise routines

Who should watch: Those who are serious about their overall health and fitness and want to learn more about nutrition

Jessica Smith TV

Who you’ll follow: Jessica Smith, a certified fitness instructor and wellness coach

What you’ll find: A wide range of different workouts from cardio to walking to pregnancy

Who should watch:  This channel is great for women of all ages and fitness levels, but I’d definitely recommend it to beginners or anyone who is trying to get back into shape after pregnancy.

Tone It Up

Who you’ll follow: Two gorgeous trainers named Karena and Katrina (who probably don’t even require an introduction)

What you’ll find:  Workouts, vlogs, recipes, and sometimes even beauty videos

Who should watch:  Anyone who wants to feel like they’re working out with and getting advice from girlfriends and/or anyone who appreciates a sense of community

Lean Secrets

Who you’ll follow: Brenda Leigh Turner, a straightforward, energetic trainer and health enthusiast

What you’ll find:  Lots of recipes and nutrition and fitness tips

Who should watch:  Anyone who embraces their curves and those who want to focus on getting fit and healthy- rather than just skinny

Do you subscribe to any of these channels?  Do you have any others to recommend?  I’d love to hear all about them.

Have a great day!

  1. I’ve only ever heard of Fitness Blender, but I still cannot get over the fact that these videos are free. I immediately regret spending money on some videos I’ve purchased. I’ve done a great yoga video from this channel: https://www.youtube.com/getfitwithleyla.

  2. I am so a gym rat! The only workout I get at home is changing the channels on the remote while reclining back. I may break a sweat cleaning the house too – ha! I love the gym I go to due to the community and the amenities. Almost 20,000 square feet that includes the gym, medical offices, hair salon, etc. – like its own village in a way. Thanks for sharing and will check some of these out. Happy Day 🙂

  3. This is so cool! Thank you for including Fitness Blender 🙂

  4. Thanks for sharing!! I’ve obviously heard of Tone It Up and one other (because Julie was PB Fingers did a recent post like this!), but need to subscribe and actually watch! I should do one while on vacation to make life easier!!

  5. I’ve never used a workout channel…I’m actually a runner. But I could see myself using these on a day I couldn’t get out to run, because I really am not a gym person (I have a punch card that’s going on 3 years now…been used twice). Thanks for linking up with us at LOBS!

I am a huge Tone it Up fan! I don’t belong to a gym but they help me make sure I stay fit. Thanks for all the recommendations. I will definitely have to check some of these Youtubers out.

    • The TIU girls are SO inspirational, right? They have amazing bodies yet they still drink wine and no how to let loose!
