54 Trader Joe’s items you must try

Today’s post is inspired by one that I saw on Pop Sugar called The 39 Trader Joe’s Items You Need in Your Life.  As soon as I read the title, I quit reading.

Why?

Because I wanted to see how many items I could list without any influence from their list.  That way, my list would be truly authentic.  After coming up with my top items, I did finally go back and read the Pop Sugar version, and we actually had many of the same things in mind.  Those items must be extra good!

I hope that this list is helpful to you if you are new to the wonderful world of TJs or even if you’re just planning your next visit.

By the way, I need to add that not everything here is healthy.  Yes, Trader Joe’s is awesome for eliminating a lot of artificial ingredients from their products, but you still have to consider sodium, fat, sugar, etc. when choosing healthy foods.  However, it is all about balance, so shop away and enjoy!

  1. Since I have recently moved to Texas and we now have a TJ’s nearby, I’ve been happy to frequent it more often! I’m headed there today to get the new pickle popcorn and the plantain chips.

    • I saw the pickle popcorn there today! Please let me know what you think of it. 🙂 The plaintain chips are awesome too BTW. I almost put them on the list actually. 🙂

  2. I love TJ’s chocolate bars plus the dark chocolate PB cups 🙂 I love the variety of nuts available too – make my own mix. We are finally venturing into TJ’s down here – there is the only one so it is busy and parking is at a premium to get a spot. Loving your list – thanks so much for sharing. Happy Day – Enjoy!

  3. That’s good to know about chia seeds because I just put them on my grocery list yesterday! I actually need to start going to TJs more now that we have one and it’s actually ON the way to Whole Foods so I pass it first! I quite enjoy their organic banana chips, too. Great for kids and…ummm, their moms haha.

    • The chia seeds are nice and cheap there! I pack the banana chips in Michael’s lunches for school, and I always end up eating some before I close his lunchbox. 🙂

  4. I don’t go to Trader Joe’s often because it is not close, but they have some pretty good dark chocolate peanut butter cups!
