6 websites for healthy recipes

Flipping through cookbooks is one of my favorite things to do.  I just love looking at all of the beautiful pictures and putting sticky notes on the pages with recipes that I want to try.  I have a really nice collection of cookbooks in my kitchen, and I cherish all of them.

But sometimes it is just way easier to type “healthy pasta recipes” into Google and call it a day.  The experience of picking out a recipe might not be as much fun, but over the years, I have discovered many websites that come pretty close.

Here are my top 5 (in no particular order)…

6 websites for healthy recipes

1.  Skinnytaste

OK, I lied.  I have this one at #1 because it is my favorite.  No matter what your dietary needs might be, you are guaranteed to find a recipe here.  They are also categorized really well, so you won’t have to go digging around forever.  The only problem you’ll encounter is which one to choose!

One to try: Crock Pot Buffalo Chicken Lettuce Wraps

2.  Eating Well

Most of you have probably been to this one already, but I had to include it.  When MT and I were first married, I made a dish from this site pretty much daily.  Every last one was a winner, and the ingredient lists were always fresh and clean.

One to try:  Beer Battered Tilapia

3.  Bethenny.com

This one won’t win any awards for easy navigation or presentation.  However, Bethenny has some really delicious lower calorie versions of typically heavy dishes, and she lightens them up without using “fake” processed ingredients and sugar free substitutes.

One to try:  Boyfriend Chicken (MT loved it!)

4.  Oh She Glows

Angela is a genius when it comes to developing delicious healthy recipes.  If you are vegan or vegetarian, her website is pure gold!  Even if you’re a meat eater, you will love her recipes.  I’ve made things for MT, such as her creamy avocado pasta, that I never thought he would love, and he did.

My all-time favorite recipe of hers is the Baked Dijon Salmon.

5.  Gluten Free Goddess

I found this website back when I was told that I had a gluten sensitivity.  I am actually not gluten free anymore and neither is MT, but I still love this website and consider it to be a valuable resource.  Every recipe that I have followed has turned out to be incredible, and I didn’t miss the gluten one tiny bit.

One to try:  Karina’s Easy Chicken and Balsamic Peppers

6.  Clean & Delicious

This site is an organized woman’s dream come true.  There are so many categories and even recipes that appeal to babies and toddlers!

One to try on your toddler: Oven-Baked, Teff-Coated Chicken Nuggets

What are some of your favorite recipes sites?

Have a great weekend!
