Beauty Brand Spotlight on Alima Pure
Alima Pure was one of the first natural brands that I ever used. We’re talking years ago when all I wanted was a good mineral foundation; I didn’t even care about whether or not it was clean. I remember being impressed back then, and I am still impressed today.
One of the things that I appreciate about the brand is how its ingredients are clearly listed on the website. It also states that all of the products are “free of parabens, sulfates, synthetic dyes, phthalates, dimethicone, petroleum, talc, bismuth oxychloride, and nanoparticles. They’re absolutely never tested on animals.”
The packaging is really durable and sleek, and I think that the price point is extremely reasonable considering the high quality of the products. With blush and bronzer running at about $24/each, mineral foundation at $28, and liquid foundation at $42, the pricing is on par with many brands you’ll find at Sephora.
Some of the standouts from the Alima Pure product line (in my experience) are:
The bronzer gives a really nice subtle hint of color and makes me look more alive- and more importantly perhaps, never muddy or orange. I’m actually just about finished with my container and need to order more ASAP.
The eye pencil is the closest dupe I’ve found for the MAC eye pencil that I used to love so much. I’m down to just a little tiny nub and need to a replacement for that one too!
I also recall the blushes being very pigmented and long-wearing.
It can be hard to color match a foundation when shopping online and their wide assortment of shades can be a bit overwhelming. So, take advantage of the fact that Alima Pure offers samples for $1.75/each.
I use at least two Alima Pure products every day and cannot possibly rave about them enough. Definitely consider this brand the next time you are shopping for new makeup!
