BIG news!

About 11 1/2 months ago, I looked like this…

548813_4641061433248_285307906_nAnd although I’m not exactly ready to pop right now like I was back then, I am growing something very special in my belly.

That’s right… I’m pregnant with baby #2 and due in April- on my wedding anniversary!

I’m so thrilled that Michael will have a sibling and just know that he’ll be a great brother in a few months.

As far as how I’m feeling, it was really difficult for awhile.  I had morning sickness with Michael, but my morning sickness this time around has been brutal. Even prescription medication didn’t work!

I lived off of bagels for quite some time, which is part of the reason why I was so excited about the new Dunkin Donuts down the street. Then there were many days when I couldn’t keep much down at all. Thankfully, I seem to be over the very worst of it- although I do still feel pretty rotten in the evenings.

I’m also really sensitive to certain scents, and I’m particularly sensitive to Lucy.  Sure, she’s a dog and never exactly smelled like roses, but if she is anywhere near me, the smell is enough to knock me over.  She’s actually being groomed today, so hopefully that will help a bit.

It honestly doesn’t feel real quite yet, but I guess that chasing after an 11 month old little boy is a bit distracting.  Even so, I’m so thankful and overjoyed to be expecting another beautiful baby, and I cannot wait to take all of you along for the ride…again! 🙂

Have a great day,

erin

  1. Congratulations! 🙂 Exciting news!

  2. CONGRATULATIONS! Yeah! It is amazing how different each pregnancy is. Especially when you are chasing around a toddler! I had HORRIBLE morning sickness with my first, but not so much with my second. Lots of crackers, lots of lemonade and B6 helped me! Also a big trigger with my first one was brushing my teeth. By the second one, we had switched to sonic care and it made a HUGE difference. I can’t wait to see all your updates!

  3. Yay congrats!!!!

  13. Congratulations! I hope you start feeling better soon! (Also, my two siblings and I are all 18-ish months apart, and while I’m sure it had its crazy moments, my parents always said it was great having us near the same age because we all enjoyed the same activities on vacations, they could take us to the same movies and summer camps, etc.)

    • Thank you SO much for sharing that with me. I know that I will have my hands full, but I really hope that Michael and Baby #2 are best buds. 🙂

  18. Congrats! One year apart….you’re going to have a lot of fun chaos on your hands. 🙂
I hope the morning sickness stays away for the remainder- that always stinks. I wonder if some sort of smelling-salts type thing you could sniff when confronted by a bad smell would work?

  19. Ahhh yay! So exciting! Congrats!!
