October 2016 Favorites

Happy November! I hope that you had a great October.  Did it fly by quickly or what?  It was such a special month for us between visiting the farm and pumpkin patch, dressing up for Halloween, and celebrating my oldest baby’s 4th birthday.  November is already shaping up to be just as fun! I don’t have many favorites from the month because I have been working through my current stashes, but what I do have to share with you is worth the read, so please stick with me. Mrs Meyer’s Mum Scented Cleaning Products Yes, another...

Products I’ve used up lately & my thoughts on each one (#7)

Products I’ve used up lately & my thoughts on each one (#7)

Please note: This post contains some affiliate links.    I’ve been really good about using things up lately before I buy anything new.  As a result, whoa…I have a serious empties collection to share with you today. Sit back, relax, and sip on a cup of tea.  This may take awhile.     Desert Essence Organics Sweet Almond Hand & Body Lotion I used this on my body, and it had a really nice scent.  That being said, it was a giant pain in the you-know-where to work into my skin, so I am not going to buy it again....

July 2016 Favorites

Happy August! It has been another busy month, but I recently cut down on a few writing commitments which should mean more time for blogging.  I definitely have a lot of posts in the works, so you can expect to hear more from me this month. And like me, you might have rolled your eyes at the thought of one more MLM taking over your feed.   My skepticism started to wane after reading up about the company and learning that it is devoted to cleaning without harsh chemicals or harmful cleansers.  My doubts completely vanished when my friend Mandy, a Norwex consultant, came to my...

February 2016 Vitacost Haul

February 2016 Vitacost Haul

Doesn’t it always seem like the minute you run out of one thing, you run out of everything?  That was the case for me last week.  First I ran out of toothpaste. Next I ran out of dishwasher tablets.  Then I ran out of rosehip oil, and the pattern just continued. So, it seemed like the perfect time to place a Vitacost order (as if I really needed an excuse). Many of the things that I bought are new to me, so you’ll probably see some of them pop up in follow-up reviews and hopefully favorites posts as well! (FYI- You can save 20%...

6 green cleaning essentials to have in your home

6 green cleaning essentials to have in your home

Before I get into today’s post, I want to quickly address some of headlines that you may have read about the Ava Anderson brand.  As you may recall, I featured this company on the blog in December, and I have since updated my post in light of recent findings regarding the ingredients used in many of the products. Moving on to the subject of cleaning! Store bought cleaning products can get pricey- especially green ones.  I absolutely buy them from time to time, and I’m a sucker for anything by Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day, but...
