July 2013 Favorites

Happy August! I don’t have a ton of favorites to share from the month of July, but I definitely have some things to show that I haven’t already mentioned 1,001 times. You know the ones that get constant love here… strawberry Zevia, chocolate ZICO, coconut oil… You can just safely assume that they all have permanent spots on these lists.       That’s it bars (apples + cherries) These bars contain minimal ingredients, and they are vegan and gluten-free.  I love to carry them in my...

(Image source for the photo of the dates)   Bragg Liquid Aminos I love using this to make things like veggie stir fry and salmon because it only contains a small amount of natural sodium and no table salt.  It tastes just like soy sauce but won’t leave you with all of the bloat!   TerrAmazon Organic Cacao Powder with Maca I actually dislike the taste of maca (which has been nicknamed “The Fountain of Youth”) but cannot even detect it at all when I use this powder in my smoothies and hot chocolate (which I make by...

Anyway, today I want to talk about internal ways to promote healthy skin by sharing some of the vitamins and supplements that I take each day.   Sea Buckthorn Berry Oil You’ve heard me rave about using sea buckthorn berry oil topically, but I...

I’m going natural

I’m going natural

I like lots of natural things, such as natural foods, natural beauty products, and natural cleansers for my home. But something natural that I haven’t always been too fond of is my naturally curly hair.   (source)   In fact, it’s probably not off-base to say that I’ve flat out hated it for most of my life. When I was a little girl, I admired all of the girls in school who had beautiful straight hair, and I’d daydream about how wonderful I’d look with hair like theirs.   I just hated how their...

Blog link up & some personal questions answered

Blog link up & some personal questions answered

I’ve discovered a lot of new blogs lately (well, blogs that are new to me).  It probably has something to do with the fact that I’m into reading Mommy Blogs for the very first time in my life. One blog that I’ve been enjoying is called From Mrs. to Mama.  Well, Becky (Mrs. Mama) is hosting a blog link-up today, and I thought it would be fun to participate by answering some of her questions.     Here it goes!   1. How long have you been blogging? And what got you started on blogging? Has your blog changed? I...
