What’s in my purse?

What’s in my purse?

Having two small children means that I have to carry a diaper bag around with me wherever I go.  While my Kate Spade diaper bag is really cute, I love when I actually get to use one of my purses. I actually have a running wish list of purses that I want to get once my diaper bag carrying days are over (although I am really not in any rush for my babies to grow up). Anyway, since I had the opportunity to carry a purse the other day, I thought that I’d take advantage and do a “What’s in my purse?” post...

15 weird questions tag

15 weird questions tag

Happy Friday! The “15 weird questions tag” has been floating around the blog world for awhile, and even though, to my knowledge, no one has tagged me, I figured that I’d go ahead and answer the questions anyway. I hope you’ll enjoy learning a little bit more about me! 1. What’s a nickname only your family calls you? My parents call me Ariel and Er (pronounced “air”), and MT calls me Boo.  Oh and my son calls me mommy.  No one else calls me that. 😉 2. What’s a weird habit of yours? I had to ask MT...

Why I blog (a virtual blog tour)

Why I blog (a virtual blog tour)

There are so many wonderful benefits of being a blogger, and I have to say that the very best one of all is meeting some fantastic people.  In fact, I met the majority of my friends in Charlotte through blogging! Char, one of my sweet blogging friends, who writes at Char Eats Greens recently asked me to participate in a virtual blog tour.  I was very flattered and thought that it sounded like a fun way for you to get to know me just a little bit better. In case you aren’t familiar with Char’s blog: Char is a recent nutrition...

20 (more) random facts about me

20 (more) random facts about me

I was in the mood to do a very light-hearted post today (not that any of posts are ever heavy or too serious), so I figured it would be the perfect time to do another random facts post. (You can see my last one here.) I always love reading this sort of thing on other blogs, and I hope that you enjoy it too!     1. I read magazines from back to front. 2. My first crush was on a neighbor boy when I was like 4. All I remember about him is that he dressed as Superman for Halloween.  I think the costume made me fall for him. 3. I...

My summer bucket list

My summer bucket list

I’ve seen a lot of summer bucket lists in blogland lately, and since I love to make lists, I figured that I’d join in. I’ll check back in at the end of the summer to let you know how many things I crossed off the list! (Side note: I get ridiculously giddy every time I get to cross something off a list.)     1. Go to an outdoor concert. 2. Take a day trip to the mountains with MT and Michael. 3. Learn how to plant something without killing it in two days. 4. Finish the latest Emily Giffin book. (I’ve had it on...

Life lessons from 90s television

Life lessons from 90s television

My weekend was extremely low-key.  The weather was pretty gloomy, so I spent lots of time inside doing chores and working on the blog.  On those kinds of days, I always have old television shows playing in the background. While I was in the middle of a Charles in Charge marathon, I had a very random idea for today’s post. It’s intended to be completely lighthearted, and I hope that all of my fellow TV buffs out there enjoy it!     The letter “R” on the gear shift does not stand for radio. (Full...
