Things I didn’t share Friday (6-14)
1. As I was cleaning the other day, Saved by the Bell was playing on television in the background. It was the episode where Slater’s pet chameleon Artie dies, and Mr. Belding organizes a school wide funeral in his honor. Seriously, how did I not realize how ridiculously cheesy that show was when I was younger? Don’t get me wrong- I’ll always love that show regardless of the extreme cheese factor. In fact, that’s probably part of the reason why I do like it so much! After all, I am a giant cheeseball...

It’s been awhile since I’ve done a grocery shopping haul, but I’m going to change that today. As you’ll see, I’ve been eating lots and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. I’ve been enjoying them in salads, sliced up with some hummus or salsa, roasted, and in green smoothies. Right now, you’re probably thinking, “How is this any different than normal? Doesn’t she always eat fruits and vegetables?” While it’s true that I usually have healthy foods in my shopping cart, the...

I went to Trader Joe’s the other day to stock up on some things (especially wine). Do you know how difficult it is to find room for groceries and alcohol when you have a baby carrier taking up the majority of your grocery cart? Trader Joe’s should do all of the mommies out there a public service and make super-sized carts. I might even start a petition! Despite the lack of room, I still managed to do quite a bit of damage there. I’m a very talented shopper. Here are some of the things that I got this...

I love participating in link-ups because they are a great way to discover new blogs and meet some wonderful people. Today I’m linking up with Lauren (From My Grey Desk), Andrea (Glam Hungry Mom), and Ashlee (ABpetite) to share some of the happenings from this past week that didn’t make it onto the blog. 1. On Monday night, I prepared a fantastic dinner using a recipe by Rachael Ray and just made a few modifications to make it healthier (like using ground turkey and gluten-free bread). Anyway, I couldn’t...

Happy Thursday! It is absolutely gorgeous outside today here in Charlotte, so I took the baby for a nice pre-lunch walk. He smiled at me the entire time we were walking, and just as we were about to approach our street, he feel fast asleep. I’d definitely call that the perfect walk! Today’s lunch was pretty yummy, so I thought that I’d do a little lunchtime check-in. I made up a salad consisting of romaine lettuce, sweet potato, beets. baby bella mushrooms, walnuts, onions, and vegan mozzarella cheese by Galaxy Nutritional...

Happy Thursday! It has been awhile since I’ve done my weekly grocery shopping at Trader Joe’s (7 weeks to be exact). I’ve been placing our orders online with Harris Teeter instead because they gather everything together and bring the bags out to my car. I don’t even have to enter the store which is an incredible gift when you have a newborn. As convenient as online shopping may be, I’ve been missing Trader Joe’s in a major way, so I headed off to do some shopping there the other day. Rather than taking...
