February 2016 Vitacost Haul

February 2016 Vitacost Haul

Doesn’t it always seem like the minute you run out of one thing, you run out of everything?  That was the case for me last week.  First I ran out of toothpaste. Next I ran out of dishwasher tablets.  Then I ran out of rosehip oil, and the pattern just continued. So, it seemed like the perfect time to place a Vitacost order (as if I really needed an excuse). Many of the things that I bought are new to me, so you’ll probably see some of them pop up in follow-up reviews and hopefully favorites posts as well! (FYI- You can save 20%...

Celebrate World Coconut Day with these coconut flavored foods

Celebrate World Coconut Day with these coconut flavored foods

Yesterday morning, I was alerted that tomorrow is World Coconut Day.  I ask it all of the time, but is there seriously a day for everything? Anyway, I figured that I would have a little fun with it and do a post all about my favorite coconut flavored foods. (Obviously, coconut oil, Grass Skirt Smoothies, and actual coconut are included as well.) 1. Dang Toasted Coconut Chips These make for a nice crunchy snack, and they are gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free, and a great source of fiber. 2. Artisana Organic Coconut Butter I love this as a...

What’s in my hand bag? (summer edition)

What’s in my hand bag? (summer edition)

I don’t know about you, but a lot of what I carry in my hand bag seems to change with the seasons.  During the summer time, many of the things that I keep in there are geared toward sun protection, as you’ll see. The bag that I am currently using is a Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM in Damier Ebène canvas.  It was definitely not cheap, but it is a classic type of bag that I plan to use forever which makes it worth the investment.  At least, that is how I justify it. By the way, I keep any of the messier items you’re about...

Vitacost Haul & BIG Announcement

Vitacost Haul & BIG Announcement

I’ve been keeping a little secret for the past few months, but I am finally sharing it on The Mini Skirt today.  It is pretty big news in my world, and I am really excited to be able to tell you about it. Switching gears completely… I stocked up on some kid friendly snacks and beauty items through Vitacost this week, so while not as important as the news I just wrote about, it is still something fun to share. Alba Botanica Moisturizing Foam Shave in Mango Vanilla I have never used a foaming shave gel before, so I still have to...

Vitacost haul (food, skincare, & condiments)

Vitacost haul (food, skincare, & condiments)

Hello! I placed one of my weekly orders to Vitacost a few days ago, and since my box arrived today, I figured that I’d share what was inside. (Side note: I just subscribed to a farm delivery box for things like eggs, milk, and cheese since we go through those things quickly in this house with the kids.  I’m so excited about it and cannot wait to show you what we get!) Eden Organic Black Beans I’ve been loving beans lately in salads as a good source of protein, so I decided to stock up while they were on sale.  I cannot...

Vitacost haul

(Please note: I am a Vitacost affiliate.  However, everything you’ll read here reflects my own true thoughts and opinions, and I have not been compensated or asked to write this post.) While I am a big fan of stores like Whole Foods, Earth Fare, and Trader Joe’s when it comes to health food and products, I also do a lot of my shopping on Vitacost. In case you aren’t familiar with it, Vitacost is an online store that sells products, such as grains, vitamins & supplements, snacks, canned goods, condiments, skincare,...
