Friday Favorites (12/5)

Friday Favorites (12/5)

Happy Friday! How is Christmas less than three weeks away?  Luckily, I am an extreme shopper, so I am already done with my shopping.  Now for those hundreds of presents that need to be wrapped… Being that it is the season of giving, I haven’t been buying any “love-to-have” items, and I have mainly been sticking to all of the “must-haves” instead.  Even so, that didn’t stop me from coming up with 5 favorites from the week! Beach Babe DVD 2 I am a an avid user of workout DVDs, and this one is my...

Happy Friday! Here are my favorites from the week… Apothederm Moisturizing Cleanser While I tend to stick to one skin care routine for awhile, I love trying out new face washes.  This one by Apothederm is wonderful, especially if you have dry skin.  It contains avocado oil, carrot, and seabuckthorn- all ingredients that fight the effects of aging and add hydration to the skin.  I have been liking it so much that I actually might stick with it for awhile…which says a lot coming from me.   Kettlebell The first time that I...

5 YouTube fitness & health channels you should follow

5 YouTube fitness & health channels you should follow

As many of you probably know, I am a big fan of working out at home. I am not a runner and don’t belong to a gym (although there is one in my neighborhood clubhouse that I’ve admittedly never used).  Aside from going on nice walks and playing with my toddler, I get my exercise by following along to workout DVDs in my home library and through videos on YouTube. YouTube is an amazing source for free workouts as well as healthy recipes and lifestyle information.  Here are five channels that I subscribe to and really enjoy! Fitness...

Things I didn’t share Friday (4/25)

  1.  I had all of the intentions in the world to do lots of posts this week, but as you may have noticed, that didn’t happen.  Addie has been super cuddly and likes to be held a lot- which is awesome- but it also makes it a bit difficult to get much done during the day.    When she is napping, I like to spend some one-on-one time with Michael, so again, I am not getting much blogging accomplished.  I’ll settle into a rhythm soon though, but until then, my posting schedule might be limited to just 2 days a week.  I...

50 (more) uses for coconut oil

50 (more) uses for coconut oil

You may have noticed that when I like something, I get really enthusiastic about it and rave on and on…and on about it.  I’ve always been the sort of person who gets ridiculously excited when they open presents, and I’d probably make one heck of a QVC hostess. Most of the time, I continue to like and enjoy the items that I share here, but I do often move on and try new things. However, there are a few things/topics/people that I’ve written about to death on this blog throughout the past 3 (plus) years, such as salmon,...

How to make time for exercise (as a mommy)

How to make time for exercise (as a mommy)

I was really fortunate that I was able to exercise all throughout my pregnancy with Michael.  I was even power walking and jogging up until a few days before giving birth…although some might argue that I was just waddling. After Michael was born, I kind of had my hands full (go figure), and if I had any extra down time, I sure wasn’t thinking about working out. Napping? That was a whole other story. I’d take one of those any day of the week. Regardless of how tired I might have been, my body eventually started to beg for...
