Friday Favorites (5/1)
(Visit The Mini Skirt for my mommy favorites.)
Happy first day of May!
I am so glad that many of you enjoyed my post about natural cleaning methods and products. If you’d like to see more posts like that one in the future, I’ll be more than happy to deliver.
As for this week’s favorites, I have food, fashion, beauty, and entertainment, so let’s get to it!
MT was away on business earlier in the week, and I figured it would be the perfect time to finally watch this documentary. I cannot go into too much detail without spoiling the experience for those who have not already watched it, but I can tell you that you’ll learn how the brand came to be, all about Burt (who really exists!), and Burt’s involvement in the company at the present time. It really changed my opinion of the brand and how I’ll feel about purchasing the products in the future.
I’ve been so into citrus-y scents lately and have always loved vanilla, so this body lotion is the perfect combination for me right now. It does make me smell like a giant creamsicle for a bit, but the scent doesn’t linger for too long. I’ll definitely repurchase it!
This sponge is deep cleaning, gentle, non-irritating, exfoliating, and completely fantastic. I have been so impressed by how smooth and even my skin looks after using it, and ever since I got it, I’ve had no desire to use my Clarisonic. If you have been thinking about buying a Clarisonic, I urge you to try this first. For ten bucks, you cannot go wrong!
I’m usually not into licorice, but for whatever reason, I really enjoy this tea. It soothes my stomach and relaxes me somehow, so it is perfect to drink after dinner or in the evening when I am craving something a little sweet. By the way, I have been on a major tea kick lately and plan to do an updated post on my tea collection soon.
I am not going to beat around the bush here- I adore Erin Busbee. I love her YouTube channel (and I’ve gotten friends and family into it too), her blog, her clothes, her personality, her sweet little family (who we get to see in vlogs), and even her home (watch a tour of her gorgeous house here and here). Erin, a professional stylist, is incredibly knowledgeable in her field and passionate about what she does. Because I trust and respect her opinion, I reached out to her via email a month or so ago for advice about how to dress for my body type. Not only did she respond, but she sent me the most thoughtful, well-crafted, useful email. If you haven’t subscribed to her channel and/or her blog, you absolutely must! I promise that you’ll love her just as much as I do.
Have you watched Burt’s Buzz? I’d really enjoy reading your opinions about it!
