Friday Favorites (1/23)

Happy Friday!

Thanks to my recent commitment to use what I already have and be more of a minimalist, my favorites from the week are mostly things that I’ve had and/or loved for awhile.

After this, I am off to Addie’s 9 month old well visit.  She is growing up way too quickly! Obviously, she is a favorite of mine too. 😉

Friday Favorites

100% Pure Luminous Primer Vitamins & Antioxidants with Resveratrol

This is a product that I rediscovered through my decluttering process, and I am so glad that I did!  I actually bought it around Thanksgiving and only used it a few times before it got lost in my collection of products.  It is an excellent base for my mineral foundation and really smooths the skin and blurs imperfections.

Audrey by Red Apple Lipstick

I normally wear lip balm or lip gloss on a daily basis and rarely wear lipstick.  I guess that I should say that I used to shy away from lipstick because I am now a big fan of this shade by Red Apple Lipstick (and the brand in general).  The lipsticks are so creamy and moisturizing that they actually feel like more of a balm.  Audrey is a beautiful color for every day wear.

Sibu Beauty Organic Seed Oil

I always make sure that I have a bottle of this oil in the house because it is kind of a miracle product for the skin. It helps to heal minor cuts and scrapes, diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, clears up acne, and can soothe conditions such as eczema and dry skin.  Earlier in the week, I developed a very strange rash on my chin (and still have no idea how it developed), so I pulled the seed oil out of my stash and used it to treat my rash.  Within about 24 hours, the rash was completely gone- which is why it has earned a place on this week’s favorites list.

Pistachios

I fondly remember sitting on the couch as a little girl eating pistachios with my grandfather, so seeing pistachios on sale at the grocery store last week made me feel a bit nostalgic.  I’ve been snacking on them a lot since I picked them up and find them to be quite filling due to the fact that they contain 5 grams of fiber per 1/3 cup which is almost 20% of the daily value.   If you find that getting them out of the shells is annoying (as I sometimes do), you can actually buy them shelled.

Navitas Naturals Organic Cacao Nibs

These are the perfect topping for plain Greek yogurt, chia pudding, and smoothies, and they are rich in antioxidants- something that I appreciate more and more every day.

Have you rediscovered any products in your existing stash lately?

Have a great weekend!

  1. I have been a lover of nuts and popcorn since I was small – have been on a beef jerky kick lately 🙂

I cannot believe your little one is already 9 months – time just flies it seems!

Happy Weekend – Enjoy and Have FUN 🙂

  2. Ah, pistachios! Always a wonderful snack!

  3. The Sibu oil sounds awesome!

    • It is amazing stuff! I have also been applying a couple of drops mixed in with my moisturizer during the day to make my skin glowy. The winter really makes me look a bit dull sometimes.
