Friday Favorites (9/5)
Here are my favorites from the week…
While I tend to stick to one skin care routine for awhile, I love trying out new face washes. This one by Apothederm is wonderful, especially if you have dry skin. It contains avocado oil, carrot, and seabuckthorn- all ingredients that fight the effects of aging and add hydration to the skin. I have been liking it so much that I actually might stick with it for awhile…which says a lot coming from me.
The first time that I ever used a kettlebell, I nearly killed myself. Uncoordinated people need to be careful when it comes to swinging around heavy objects. Luckily, I eventually got the hang of it because using a kettlebell is an amazing workout. If you’re looking to get into kettlebell workouts, I suggest this DVD by Jillian Michaels. You can also watch it instantly.
I like having coconut oil on hand, so I can apply it to my skin throughout the day. But who wants to constantly carry around a giant glass jar? Cococare is just small enough to stash in my purse, diaper bag, glove compartment, desk drawer, etc., so I never have to be without my beloved coconut oil.
I am not exaggerating when I say that these are the comfiest ballet flats on the planet. I’ll admit that I haven’t tried on every pair of ballet flats in the world, but I simply cannot imagine anything that can even begin to compare. These are ideal for mothers and anyone who is on their feet a lot. They even fold up, so you can carry them in your diaper bag or purse. Once your high heels have your feet begging for mercy at the end of a long evening, you’ll be thankful to have those flats handy. Unfortunately, Tieks are not inexpensive, but they are well worth the investment.
I was hit pretty hard by the crafting bug this week and my evenings (after the children have gone to bed) have been consumed by Pinterest and DIY/crafting blogs. One that I am completely loving right now is The 36th Avenue. I mean, just check out these adorable tutorials for pumpkin Mason jars and a wreath made of cupcake liners!
What have you been loving this week?
