Aztec Secrets mask review

Aztec Secrets: Indian Healing Bentonite Clay

There are so many good things to say about this mask that I don’t even know where to start.  It comes in a huge tub, and it is really inexpensive especially for the amount that you get.  Because it is in powder form, you have to mix it with a tiny bit of water or apple cider vinegar (which is what I do).  The mixing process is probably the only negative about this mask because it is kind of annoying and can be slightly messy.  The mixing is totally worth it though because this mask seriously pulls all of the gunk from the pores (including blackheads), helps to get rid of breakouts quickly, and makes the skin super soft.  I honestly never want to be without this stuff!

Jose Eber Instant Radiance Hairspray

I’ve always been fascinated by the beauty products and treatments that celebrities use- even when I was a child. I remember watching a makeover segment on some talk show way back when in which Jose Eber (“stylist of the stars”) was the hairstylist.  When my family and I went to California on a family vacation when I was around 13, I saw his salon and nearly fainted.  I remember peeking into the windows trying to catch a glimpse of a celebrity client. (For the record, the windows were tinted, and I couldn’t see a darn thing other than my awkward preteen reflection.)  Flash forward x amount of years later to the present day where I was so excited to learn that Jose Eber has a hair care line on HSN. I momentarily became 13 again the first time that I tried the Instant Radiance Hairspray, and the product did not disappoint.  It has a light smell (not that icky hairspray smell), adds shine, and holds my hair in place during humid days without making it too stiff or crunchy.  The added bonus is that I feel like a celebrity when I use it.

Tory Burch stud earrings

Tory Burch Small Logo Stud Earrings

I own these earrings in both silver and gold and pretty much wear one pair every single day.  Even though they are logos, they are just simple enough to go with nearly any outfit…or at least I think they do.

Udi's dark chocolate brownie bites

Udi’s Dark Chocolate Brownie Bites

If you are anything like me, you need to have a little snack each evening after dinner.  These brownie bites are absolutely ideal!  They are satisfying without being too heavy, don’t contain any foreign hard to pronounce ingredients, and they are gluten free.  Most importantly, they are delicious!  You can find them in the freezer section of most grocery stores.

Korres wild rose mineral foundation

Korres Wild Rose Mineral Foundation

I’m not a fan of wearing a ton of makeup during the summer, so this mineral foundation is a great solution on days when I need a tiny bit of coverage.  It looks natural, feels light on the skin, and it is talc free. A little goes a long way, so it lasts a very long time.  The wild rose extract in the foundation is supposed to repair fine lines and wrinkles, help to improve uneven skin tone, and it is also promised to make the skin look radiant and healthy.  I just love when cosmetics have added benefits!

What are some of your favorites from the week?

Have a great weekend!

  1. Love those brownie bites 🙂 I am loving what my garden is producing right now – tomatoes and green beans. This past weekend we went to a favorite farmers market and put up 3 lbs of green beans and 22 ears of corn in the freezer – YUM!

Here is a tip for you readers. I place vegetables to freeze in quart-size Ziploc freezer bags (have use no name brands and have melted slightly). This way you boil the water in the pan and just put the bag in to heat – not adding any water to the veggies. I make omelets this way too. Place eggs and additional items into the bag and then place in boiling water for about 12 to 15 minutes. Roll out of the bag and onto the plate and EAT!

  2. I have that clay! I bought it months ago, but have been scared to use it….I guess I should give it a try!

    • Yes! Like I said, it is kind of messy, but it is so worth it. I just mix it up in the lid and then clean it out when I am done. Use a thin layer though because when it is too thick, it flakes off all over the place!

  3. Those Tory studs are my go-to earrings for fancy events! 🙂 Love them! 🙂

    • Arent’ they the best? I almost dropped one of my silver earrings down the drain this morning and nearly had a panic attack. Haha.

  4. I would love to hide out in your make-up drawer for a day!!! haha

    • LOL! You’re welcome to have at it any time you want. 🙂 I should do a makeup collection post or video one of these days, but it is a bit out of control.

  5. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
