Products I’m Loving Lately for Hair Growth

Before I got pregnant with my third baby, I was dealing with some rheumatoid arthritis flare-ups and had to administer some pretty heavy duty injectables into my body every few days.   An unfortunate side effect was thinning hair.  Couple that with some postpartum hair loss, and my hair was in need of a little TLC.

Getting my hair back to where I want it to be has been quite the journey, but I am getting there with the help of the products below.  I’ve also been letting it air dry and trying to wear it in its natural wavy state (which is not only healthier but much easier!).

John Masters Organics Herbal Cider Hair Clarifier & Color Sealer

This is fantastic for clarifying and adding lots of shine.  If you are concerned that you will end up smelling of apple cider vinegar all day long, don’t be.  The smell is very strong while you are using it, but it does not linger (especially after you rinse it out and shampoo).

BROO Craft Beer Invigorating Shampoo and Conditioner Malted Mint

Speaking of smells… Initially, I thought that these two products would make me smell as though I fell head first into a keg, but the peppermint scent is more apparent in my opinion.  Ever since I started to use these, my husband has commented on how soft and healthy my hair feels.  If you have dry, damaged hair, these are for you.  They are also safe for color-treated hair, vegan, sulfate-free, paraben-free, phthalates-free, and dye-free with no artificial fragrances.

Alba Botanica Hawaiian, Gardenia Deep Conditioning Minute Mask

I love this mask because the scent is so pretty and also because it is inexpensive, works within just a few minutes, and leaves my hair feeling extremely smooth and soft.

yarok Feed Your Shine Shine Serum

My hair is very fine, so I love how this serum doesn’t weigh it down too much or make it greasy.  A little goes a very long way though, so use it sparingly!

Shea Moisture – Jamaican Black Castor Oil Shampoo 16.3 oz & Conditioner

I use these every other washing (alternating with the BROO products above) because they are supposed to help with hair growth.  I don’t know that they have made my hair grow any faster, but I have found them to be very moisturizing.  By the way, I’ll be doing a beauty brand spotlight on Shea Moisture very soon.

Viviscal Extra Strength Hair Nutrient Tablets

I’m on month 4 of taking these tablets, and I have seen an incredible difference in my hair since using them.  In fact, I have tons of annoying little baby hairs that are sticking up all over the place because they have helped so much with my hair regrowth.  I cannot wait until those little suckers fully grow out!  I have also noticed that my nails are much stronger and that they grow quickly.

I would love to know what you are using on your hair lately, so please leave me a comment!
