Healthy grocery shopping haul

It’s been awhile since I’ve done a grocery shopping haul, but I’m going to change that today.

As you’ll see, I’ve been eating lots and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.Β  I’ve been enjoying them in salads, sliced up with some hummus or salsa, roasted, and in green smoothies.

Right now, you’re probably thinking, “How is this any different than normal?Β  Doesn’t she always eat fruits and vegetables?”

While it’s true that I usually have healthy foods in my shopping cart, the warmer weather really makes me want to eat healthy foods and experiment with new ones…even more so than usual.

(By the way, I’m working on a post about how to save money on healthy foods, so look out for it!)

Are you motivated to eat healthier during the spring and summer months?

If I peeked into your shopping cart, what would I find?

Enjoy your day!

  1. I could go for some dark chocolate!! I definitely think I eat more F&V in the warmer months. Especially back home when the farmer’s market starts up!!! I feel like I’m not eating enough on vacay right now, so I need to make that change asap because I’m always a huge veggie person!!

    • You definitely get a free pass while on vacation, but I know what you mean. I always look forward to getting back into healthy eating after vacation.

  3. Peeking in my shopping cart you would find plenty of fruits and veggies along with some lean protein or fish. I know I make healthy food choices and I know I can do it on a budget too. I buy fresh or frozen all year round as well as grill all year round. Cannot wait to read your post on budgeting! Happy Hump Day:)

    • I love grocery shopping too! It was much easier pre-baby though. Now I have to stack everything around the baby carrier. πŸ˜‰

  6. I’m a vegan so my cart would look a lot like yours(minus the fish obviously). I love fruits, veggies, hummus, stevia and almond milk. Oh and Annie’s Goddess dressing is my favorite! Too bad you don’t live in Florida or I’d stop by for a snack hahaha. πŸ™‚

  7. The summer definitely motivates me to eat better. I love your haul — it’s an inspiration!

  9. I LOVE that you eat exactly like I do! I am actually surprised at how much money I have saved by avoiding “convenience” foods and going organic…I always thought it would be too expensive. After I learned how to shop….I was able to manage saving! LOVE IT!!!
