Happy February!

My household (the kids, that is) have been plagued by sickness for nearly three weeks now.  We’ve seen strep, ear infections, and now a stomach bug.  Being mostly confined to home (with the exception of some walks, time with Grandma and Grandpa, and visits to the doctor and pharmacy) has been a little rough, but on a positive note, I’ve had lots of opportunity to do some product testing.

I have some new (to me) things to share with you this month, and some old favorites have made a comeback.

Lotus Wei Inspired Action Mist

The New Year always inspires me to be productive and accomplish my personal goals, so I decided to enlist the help of flower essences. With this mist, you can experience motivation, drive, follow through, decisiveness, fearless creativity, innovation, intuition, synchronicity, tackling your big goals, and finishing projects.  It is also supposed to dissolve procrastination, lack of follow through, feeling stuck, writer’s block, indecision, projects left undone, distracted mind.  I spray it in the air whenever I need a little kick in the butt to get things done, and I truly feel as though it helps.  (See my full review of Lotus Wei to learn more about the brand.)

Fitglow Beauty Vita-Set Powder

This powder quickly reached holy grail status for me. Even though I originally scoffed at the $60 price tag, it, in my opinion, is worth every penny.  First of all, it sets my foundation and concealer like a dream, helping it to last all day long.  It also absorbs oil better than any powder I’ve used in the past.  The ingredients are nourishing and even have anti-aging benefits.  With the Fitglow brand in general, I feel as though I am putting something really good on my skin versus just trying to cover up imperfections.  You can expect a full beauty brand spotlight on Fitglow in a few weeks.

Schmidt’s Rose Vanilla Natural Deodorant Stick

I’ve used my fair share of natural deodorants, and this one blows all of the others right out of the water.  It is the best.  THE best.  It comes in other scents (including unscented), but I love the light rose fragrance.

Leahlani Skincare Mermaid Mask

If you’ve been reading here for awhile, you’ve already know about my love for this mask.  I’ve never stopped loving it, but I’ve been more religious about using it lately. Mermaid Mask Mondays are a thing on Instagram, and I join in on the fun!  The greenish mask always makes my skin glow and is excellent for keeping my pores clean. It’s, without a doubt, one of my all-time favorite masks. You can read more about the mask in my October 2015 Favorites.

Thred Up

Bringing clothes to consignment is a great way to make a little extra cash, but it is also a pain in the butt carrying a huge container into a consignment shop with three kids in tow.  That’s why I am into Thred Up these days.  I request a bag online, stuff it, and ship it back by bringing it to the post office (postage is already included).  The shipping cost is deducted from my earnings, and I can spend the rest on the Thred Up store or request the cash.  It is such an easy way to reduce clutter and make a quick buck.

Trader Joe’s Unsweetened Organic Acai Puree Packets

Once again, sometimes the easy route is my preferred route, and these packets make smoothie creating super easy. With zero grams of sugar, these are so healthy and taste delicious blended with some almond milk and banana.  Fingers crossed that Trader Joe’s keeps these in stock all year long!

What were some of your favorites from the month of January?
