July 2013 Favorites

Happy August!

I don’t have a ton of favorites to share from the month of July, but I definitely have some things to show that I haven’t already mentioned 1,001 times.

You know the ones that get constant love here… strawberry Zevia, chocolate ZICO, coconut oil…

You can just safely assume that they all have permanent spots on these lists. 😉

That’s it bars (apples + cherries)

These bars contain minimal ingredients, and they are vegan and gluten-free.  I love to carry them in my purse/diaper bag as an emergency snack. (Because no one wants to see my hungry!)

Yes to Carrots Hydrating Shower Gel

When I bought this shower gel, I was sort of worried that it would make me smell like Bugs Bunny.  Thankfully, the scent is really light.  But even if it did smell strongly of carrots, I could probably get past it being that the gel is so moisturizing and not at all drying or harsh on the skin.  I’ll absolutely be repurchasing this stuff when it runs out!

Yes to Blueberries Healthy Hair Repair Shampoo

I’m constantly looking for a really good paraben free shampoo, and I feel like I’ve finally found one that works for me.  I love the smell, the light lather, and that it is gentle on my hair.  A lot of the more natural shampoos never leave my hair feeling truly clean, but this one does a great job of removing residue and build-up.

Korres Wild Rose Mineral Foundation

I love my Jane Iredale mineral foundation, but I completely goofed when I selected my shade.  For some reason, I always assume that I am a lot paler than I actually am. While I can probably get away with wearing the Jane Iredale in the winter, I’ve been wearing my Korres foundation in the color sand lately. It is the perfect match for me, blends into the skin beautifully, and it is paraben free and doesn’t irritate my skin at all.

Josie Maran Argan Illuminzer

If you want to look like you have  a natural, radiant, Victoria’s Secret model glow, I highly recommend this product.  It doesn’t work as well for me during the winter when my skin is a bit lighter, but it’s just great when I am tan.  I mainly apply it on my face as a highlighter, but I’ve also used it on my body with great (non-disco ball) results.

What products were you loving during the month of July?

Have you found a natural shampoo that you like?

  1. Mmm I’ve seen those bars at WF!! Do you recommend that flavor over the others?

    • This is the only flavor I’ve tried so far. I actually just left it up to chance and ordered a whole box before I had ever tried them at all! I love this flavor, but it is a bit sweet and maybe a little tart. If you’re not into that, I’d try another flavor! 🙂

  2. Great list as always!

I love the shampoo (actually have a review coming up soon hehe), the shower gel, the bars and Josie Maran.

I haven’t tried the illuminator yet, but it’s on my list so I’m glad you like it!

  3. I want that illuminizer!! Gah!!! And I need to try that shampoo out because you took the words out of my mouth!! Sometimes I come out of the shower feeling like I didn’t even wash my hair!! I hate when it feels greasy, even after I just washed it!

    • It stinks, doesn’t it? All of the toxic shampoos have such a great lather and make my hair feel squeaky clean! The Yes to Blueberries one really is great though. I am going to try the conditioner next!

  4. All of these things look so good! I will definitely need to look up those bars. They sound like a great snack to keep around the house.

    • They are great in a pinch, and they aren’t as heavy as Larabars. I love Larabars, but sometimes I feel like I’ve just eaten a brick!

  5. Looking forward to trying that shampoo! And happy August to you (I cannot believe it’s August).

  6. Where can you get the bars?
