Links I Love (Thanksgiving Edition)

Happy Thanksgiving Eve!

In the spirit of the holiday, I am going to share some relevant links from around the web that I’ve come across and have enjoyed lately.

Links I Love (Thanksgiving Edition)

1. Thanksgiving movies & specials from

As you know, I’m a big movie buff, especially when it comes to holiday movies.  I can’t wait to watch the Charlie Brown one tomorrow night! If I was writing this list, I’d also add A Christmas Story.  Sure, it isn’t exactly about Thanksgiving (at all), but it pretty much follows the whole Christmas season.  It’s also tradition for MT and I to watch it immediately after Turkey Day.

2. 19 amusing photos of past Thanksgiving Day Parades

I’ll be honest when I admit that I don’t think I’ve ever sat down to watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on television from start to finish.  However, there’s something extremely comforting and familiar about having it play in the background on Thanksgiving morning.  As you can tell by these photos, the floats have really come a long way throughout the years!

3. Delicious Thanksgiving appetizers a la Martha Stewart

Because, you know, the gigundo main meal just isn’t enough. 😉

4. 25 facts you probably didn’t know about Thanksgiving

Don’t worry- these facts are much more interesting than the ones we all learned in elementary school.  We even get a little insight about pilgrim fashion (which will also come in handy for those of you planning to eat in costume tomorrow).

5. 25 classic Thanksgiving TV episodes and specials

I’m not the world’s biggest Friends fanatic, but I absolutely love their classic Thanksgiving episodes.  I still crack up when I see Joey in his stretchy eating pants.  I guess that my maternity jeans sort of count as stretchy eating pants, don’t they?

Do you have any Thanksgiving related links to add?  What is your favorite Thanksgiving movie?
