March 2016 Favorites

I didn’t have to step back to come up with my standout favorites from the month of March because they were just so insanely obvious. In fact, I reached for all of these things on a daily basis with the exception of the face scrub, and you’ll read why in a minute.
It was definitely a good month for new discoveries.
I received this product (not shown above) as a free sample with a purchase that I made from Citrine Natural Beauty Bar, and I was excited about it because I really like Tata Harper skin care and have been itching to try something from the makeup range. The shade Very Sweet is just perfect for spring because it is bright and fresh looking. It is creamy, so it just glides right onto the skin creating a hydrated youthful look. I’ll definitely be purchasing the full size ASAP!
Mad Hippie skin care is really good and the price point is extremely reasonable considering that the products are of such high quality. I’m currently using the Vitamin C & A serums and recently fell in love with this moisturizer as well. It smells so good, absorbs quickly, and adds moisture to the skin without making it look oily or greasy.
When I received this sample from Au Naturale Cosmetics, I thought that it was going to be way too bold for me…and it is bold, but I actually like it a lot. It makes me look more alive, and I keep reading that pink lipsticks are supposed to make women look more youthful. If that’s truly the case, I’m going to keep wearing this shade!
I’ve used a lot of highlighters in my day, and this is probably my favorite to date. It’s a cream formula and really creates a natural “glowing from within” look. If the price point scares you off, buy the refill pan instead of the full compact and add it to your own palette. It is considerably cheaper. That’s what I did myself!
This product by May Lindstrom Skin is meant for daily micro-dermabrasion, but I only use it a few times a week because I have fairly sensitive skin. If you’re curious, it really does look like dirt, and when you scrub it on your face, you’ll look like Pigpen from Peanuts. While that takes a tiny bit of getting used to, it is totally worth it for results- smooth, healthy looking skin.
For the past month or so, these have been a staple in my handbag. I have the entire family hooked on them! They are sweet, chewy, and an easy snack with just two ingredients (apple and mango). I’m going to order the sampler pack next, so I can try some other flavors. After all, variety is the spice of life!
Because it is caffeine free, I drink this tea in the evening after dinner as a little treat. Like the name suggests, it tastes just like licorice (or liquorice root) and mint. I’ll usually add stevia or raw honey to my tea, but I find that this tea is sweet enough all on its own.
I professed my love for Joy last month, and the adoration continues. Her book has been my go-to source for recipes, especially her Baked Lemon Pepper Salmon and Black Bean Brownies. She’s releasing another book later this year, and I cannot wait to get my hands on it.
That’s it for this month! I started using some new things a week or so ago, and I already predict that they’ll show up in my April Favorites.
Have a great day!
