March 2017 Favorites
I don’t have many favorites from last month, but I did a ton of shopping this week (Happy Birthday, to me!) which means that my April favorites will most likely be out of control. Get ready for it.
This is not a sponsored post. However, this post does contain some affiliate links, which means that if you click on one of the product links, I’ll receive a small percentage of the sale. Whether or not you choose to shop through them, I really appreciate how you’ve taken the time to visit my site!
Even though I really love the Mad Hippie cleanser, I really wanted to try this one by Indie Lee- especially since I am a big rosehip oil fan. If you are curious about the benefits of rosehip oil, you should read my post all about it!
I feel like the Indie Lee, a gel consistency, is good for more of a deep, purifying cleanse, so I have been using it at night and the creamier, gentler Mad Hippie in the morning. While both cleansers are different from one another, neither one is drying at all and both would probably work on most skin types. My cheek area tends to get a little bit red, and I have noticed that the redness calms down a bit after I wash with the Indie Lee cleanser.
Speaking of rosehip, that is what you’ll find in this facial oil by MOA, so again, I just had to snatch it right up. Because it is a dry oil, it absorbs into the skin very quickly, and I have no issues with greasiness when I wear it during the day. The smell of this oil is so nice, but not to worry if you aren’t a fan of scents, as it fades rather quickly. For a facial oil, it is relatively inexpensive yet feels like such a luxurious treat. My favorite benefit of it (aside from the fact that it can help to keep me from looking old and haggard) is that it makes my face feel so soft.
This has been a staple in my hair care routine for several months, but I have actually been loving it lately on my 3 year old. Her hair gets so knotted and tangled after she comes out of the bath that I was worried we would have to shave it off! But ever since I started to spray this on her wet hair, I can comb through it with zero issues. A bonus is that her hair feels like silk and has been growing in so pretty. While it is more expensive than a typical product I’d use on a 3 year old, it is worth every penny because it works so well…and I might as well start her off young on her green beauty journal, right?
This was on my Green Beauty Wish List (post coming soon!) for what seemed like ages, so I did a happy dance when I finally got to check it off my list. The potential benefits of using this product include moisturizing properties and a reduction in the physical signs of aging. While I am not sure that I have noticed any anti-aging benefits yet, I have noticed that my skin feels very soft and looks vibrant and healthy when I use it. Let me just say that this beauty elixir is not cheap. It is definitely a splurge, so that is why I have been using it very sparingly and just when I feel that my skin needs a little extra moisture. To sum up, this is a luxurious treat for the skin.
There have been several days already in Charlotte when I have been able to wear shorts. I am totally cool with baring pasty white legs, but I definitely prefer to have a little color on them. This self tanner looks very natural, doesn’t smell horrific like most self tanners, and doesn’t get streaky (though I do apply my regular body lotion after applying the tanner which helps to prevent streaks).
And this is how I give my face a little color and oomph. A little goes a long way, but when I use a lighter hand, the result is a natural, healthy-looking complexion.
Believe it or not, this is the only W3ll People product that I have ever used! I am really tempted to try other things from the brand now because I like the bronzer so much.
If you do not watch Laura’s channel on YouTube or read her blog, you are really missing out on something special. First of all, she has insane knowledge about green beauty and healthy living, and she shares what she knows in such a real, comprehensible way. She even has a course called Clean Beauty Academy for any green beauty newbies! Obviously, she is beautiful as well, and her lipstick is always so on point that I recently went through and ordered each and every one of her lip product recommendations! (No, I am not exaggerating.)
Her water broke at just 24 weeks while on vacation in San Diego, and she is currently in the hospital until the baby arrives. You should definitely follow her on Instagram stories to learn more about her journey and to show her some love. She’s seriously such a sweetheart and manages to crack me up daily.
I’d love to read about your favorites from the month, so please share away!
