May 2017 Favorites

May was a really busy month for me (hence the lack of posts), so I don’t really have a lot of new things to share.  But what I do have is really good, so keep reading!

May 2017 Green Beauty Favorites

Jane Iredale Longest Lash Thickening and Lengthening Mascara

The Lily Lolo mascara has been my favorite for awhile now.  Well, after yet another recent eye infection, I finally (and sadly) realized that the mascara was the culprit. Since I always react well to Jane Iredale products, I decided to try out the mascara for the first time.  After about three weeks of use, I’ve had zero negative reactions, and I really like the natural look that it gives my lashes and the great volume.  If you like dramatic long lashes, this probably isn’t for you, but I like it for every day, as I do not like to look to “done” (if you know what I mean).

100% Pure Green Tea Brow Builder

This product comes in packaging that is similar to that of mascara, and you use the brush to apply the gel.

Let me start with the cons and just get those of the way… First of all, this is not a product that you can apply to your eyebrows while your toddlers are clinging to your legs.  It takes a bit of concentration and a steady hand.  It also comes in a pretty small package (0.16 ounces), so I can see the potential need for frequent replacements if you have thicker brows.

Now for the pros… Once you get the hang of it, you will have fuller looking brows that stay in place all day long.  The brush is tiny, so that makes the application process a little bit easier.  Just be sure to wipe the excess product off of the wand to avoid looking like Bert from Sesame Street.

French Girl Organics Lip Polish

Most lip scrubs are extremely harsh and abrasive, and you almost have to limit how frequently you use them.  This scrub, or polish, is gentle, creamy, and hydrating, and I’m able to use it every night without drying out my lips or over exfoliating.  Added bonus: It smells like roses.  (See my spotlight on French Girl Organics for more.)

REN Flash hydro-boost

If you have dry skin, this is for you.  Pat the product into your skin using your damp fingertips before you apply your regular moisturizer, and I promise that your skin will look plump, more youthful, and feel so hydrated.  After just a month of use, I already cannot imagine my skincare routine without it.

RMS Magic Luminizer

I’ve been using the RMS Living Luminizer for a few years now and didn’t really think that the Magic Luminizer could be (or would be) any better.  Boy, was I wrong!  This stuff takes highlighting to the next level and provides a gorgeous bronzed glow that you just have to see to believe.  Seriously, you need this in your life this summer.

If you use any of these favorites, please chime in with your thoughts!
