My 7 Links

Happy Thursday!

My wonderful friend and fellow blogger Brittney at Life In A Holding Pattern invited me to participate in the 7 Links Challenge.

This has been making its way around the blog world all week.  If you’re not familiar with it, here’s the scoop:

THE GOAL: To unite bloggers (from all sectors) in a joint endeavor to share lessons learned and create a bank of long but not forgotten blog posts that deserve to see the light of day again.

1) Blogger is nominated to take part

2) Blogger publishes his/her 7 links on his/her blog – 1 link for each category.

3) Blogger nominates up to 5 more bloggers to take part.

4) These bloggers publish their 7 links and nominate another 5 more bloggers

5) And so it goes on!

6) We’ll be sharing the best posts from participating bloggers on our blog and everyday on Facebook and Twitter at #My7Links

Most Beautiful

I’d have to say the most beautiful post I’ve done was called A Year Ago Today.  It was dedicated to my wonderful husband on our one year wedding anniversary.  I definitely teared up as I wrote it!

Most Popular

The most searched and read post on my blog is a review that I did of the documentary Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead.  The popularity of the film seems to have brought a lot of people to my site…which is never a bad thing!  It also shows me that a lot of people are interested in juicing, which is something that I really believe in.

Most Controversial

I’m not exactly what you’d call controversial, but if I had to choose one post (and apparently, I do), I’d pick A Change of Heart.  This post was all about my decision to cut back on eating meat and my personal reasons for doing so.

Most Helpful

Hopefully, most of my posts are helpful!  But I received the most feedback on my recent Non-Toxic Beauty posts and my A Dairy Free Life series.  How I Kicked My Soda Habit was also well-received.

Surprise Success

This would have to be a post called All By Myself.  I didn’t think much of it when I published it, and all of a sudden, I was receiving tons of comments and emails.  Later, I learned that it had been “Freshly Pressed” on WordPress, which is what drove all of the traffic. It was great because it brought me lots of new readers!

Not Enough Attention

A lot of my earlier posts didn’t receive enough attention, but my blog was just a baby then!  It is almost a toddler now. 🙂  I encourage you to check out my archives if you’re a new reader.  It is fun for me to do that every once in awhile to see how I’ve evolved (hopefully, for the better).

One specific post that deserved more attention than it got was Not An Ordinary Day.  Hello?  It was Lionel Richie’s birthday, people!

Also, I often get questions on how I came up with the name of my blog.  Obviously, my What’s In A Name? post didn’t get enough attention!

Most Proud

There are two posts that make me very proud.  One is the post I did when I left my horrible old job.  I’m not necessarily proud of the post- but of the decision.  It was definitely a scary one to make!  But I received much love and support from my husband and my family and friends, and I can honestly say that it is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

The other post was one I did on Mother’s Day.  Again, I’m not proud of the post…but I am proud of my mom and proud of the fact that I have such an incredible mother.

Now I have to pass this on to 5 other bloggers.  I’m sure that some of these folks have already been hit, but here they are:

I’m off to pack for my trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico!!!  Have a great day everyone!
