My new favorite smoothie

I wasn’t planning to do a post today, but because I love you, I just had to share my new favorite smoothie right away.  It just didn’t seem fair to keep it to myself for another minute.

You’ll notice that I utilized one of my very favorite things in this smoothie (because I’m pretty much addicted).

What you’ll need:

1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk

1/2 cup ZICO chocolate coconut water (regular coconut water would probably work too)

3-4 ice cubes

2 handfuls of spinach

1/2 tablespoon cacao powder

4 large strawberries with the stems removed

1/2 banana

1 scoop vanilla pea protein powder (optional)

1/2 tablespoon ground flaxseed (optional)

Stevia (to taste)

1/4 teaspoon xanthan gum (for thickening)

 

Put all ingredients in your blender, and blend until smooth.  Drink cold and enjoy!

 

Because of the coconut water, this smoothie is super hydrating and refreshing.  As soon as I took my first sip, it became my very favorite smoothie (at least for the time-being).
