Non-Toxic Beauty: List of Brands to Try

[Please note: Although the brands listed below are considered safe and mostly non-toxic, all of their products may not contain completely pure ingredients.  Be sure to read the ingredient listings before purchasing or check the Skin Deep Cosmetic Safety Database to see how they rate in terms of safety.]

Recently, I conducted some “very official” research in order to compile a list of highly recommended non-toxic beauty brands.

In other words, I turned to Twitter, consulted with friends and family, did some reading in magazines and online, and looked through my personal stash of products. 😉

Official research or not, I’m pretty excited about this list, which will always be available on my newly created Non-Toxic Beauty page.  My goal is to keep the list current and update it frequently, as I discover new brands.

I also hope that you’ll share your recommendations with me, so I can add them here as well!

Non-Toxic Beauty Brands

Brands with an asterisk (*) next to the name are ones that have been recommended to me by readers, fellow bloggers, friends, and family.  I have not personally used them (yet!).

  8. Hi – I also like Christopher Drummond. I have been researching non-toxic beauty brands for years.. and I have collected all my favorites – the ones that are completely nontoxic (no phenoxyethanol) in my shop and online store – we have some unusual ones that are incredible like Sappho Organics, in addition to Alima Pure, Vapour Organic Beauty, and much more – plus we have tutorials, lots of ideas and instruction, really detailed descriptions and swatch photos, and we are available one-on-one with loads of free advice. thanks for this great list of ideas.

  10. Hi! Love your list, I’m constantly trying to find new organic and safe beauty brands.
I”ve heard of some of these and others I haven’t. I’ll definitely check them out. I have a few brands that aren’t mentioned on here that you might like to try.
Cowgirl Dirt-they are a company based in either Oklahoma or Montana (can’t remember which), but they have all kinds of organic, chemical free beauty products and are reasonably priced. Not to mention, their packaging is adorable.
Faerie Organics-all natural make-up and skincare. Their mineral eyeshadows are beautiful and I love their bronzer and concealer.
Alima Pure-a little bit more expensive, but worth it. They have this really cool little quiz to match your skin to the right foundation color too.
Also, all of these brands have the option to buy samples of their products for really cheep to see what you like before you buy the full size, which is handy.

Hope that was helpful and keep up the great blog! 🙂

dows are beautiful and I love their bronzer.

    • Thank you SO SO SO much for your input! I will check out all of these companies. I actually LOVE Alima Pure, and I have been meaning to place a new order. 🙂
