Products I’ve used up lately & my thoughts on each one (#2)

I am still very much into using up my current stash of products before getting anything new, and as you’ll see, I even committed to finishing things that I didn’t even like all that much.  I’m really proud of how much I have decluttered!

(By the way, you can see my first empties post here.)

Products I've used up lately-2

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula with Vitamin E

I used this lotion for years (obviously not the same bottle), and for a long time, cocoa butter was my signature scent.  I still absolutely love this stuff, but as you know, I’m trying to stick with more natural products, so I have replaced it with my 100% Pure Vanilla Bean Nourishing Body Cream.

Belli All Day Moisture Body Lotion

I’m a big fan of this brand and love how they are committed to giving expectant mothers some safer products to use.  Unfortunately, I was not a fan of this body lotion.  It was so hard to work into the skin, and I’d have to rub it in and rub it in for several minutes.  Ain’t nobody got time for that.

emerginC Grape Stem Cell, White Tea & Seaweed Body Butter

I had the same issue with this body butter as I did with the one by Belli- only this one also had a funky scent.  I couldn’t wait to be finished with it and definitely won’t use it again.

The Magic Pads

These are fanastic!   I even raved about them in a Friday Favorites.  After finishing this container, I ordered two more.

Burt’s Bees Deep Cleansing Cream Soap Bark and Chamomile

This is a really nice cleaner.  It’s creamy, gentle, non-irritating or drying, and good for all skin types.  I could possibly see myself buying this again.

Lush Ocean Salt

This was another winner and another one that I’ve blogged about at some point.  I heard that the product has been reformulated and isn’t as good as it used to be, but I’d still take the gamble and try it again.

Pacifica Coconut Crushed Pearl Luminizing Body Butter

This stuff is fantastic, and I do plan to repurchase it.  I like to mix it with my body lotion to give my skin a subtle shimmer.

DIY Booster SPF30 Facial Serum Unscented Andalou Naturals

This was probably my third bottle, so I obviously liked it.  The serum was hydrating and never caused any irritation, but right now I am trying something else.  Andalou Naturals is a great brand, so it is very possible that I’ll return to this sometime in the future.

Fundamental Face Wash

Like the Burt’s Bees, this is a really nice face wash- ideal for sensitive skin- and I definitely wouldn’t mind using it again.

bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie in Smooth Talker

It’s rare that I finish a lip product because I own so many of them (although I did just do a massive clean-out), but I got into the habit of using this almost every day because it was a very flattering, wearable, pink shade. I didn’t care for the wand, but other than that, this lip gloss was a winner.

Anastasia Brow Wiz

This made my 2014 all-stars for a good reason. When I run out of it, it is a genuine emergency.  Even though I am curious to try a few others, such as the ones by IT Cosmetics and Benefit, I can pretty much guarantee that I’ll repurchase this when I run out again.

Sibu Beauty Nourishing Facial Cream

I’ve been using this as my day time moisturizer for several years, and even though I’ve tried others here and there, I am using still using this now.  I think it would work for most skin types since it is hydrating but not too heavy or greasy.

Have you used any of these products before?  What were your thoughts?

Have a great day!

  1. I love Lush products and Ocean Salt is amazing! I really want to try that Pacifica product now so thanks so much for the review it sounds amazing!

    • It is really nice stuff! It says that you can use it as a total moisturizer, but I don’t think it would be hydrating enough on its own. When I mix it with my regular body lotion, it is PERFECT! 🙂

  2. I need to start looking into different products. For some reason it overwhelms me! Weird I know, but as your skin changes, so should your products and I need to get a wrangle on it! I tried the Ocean Salt a while back. Wasn’t unfortunately too big of a fan. I probably need to start looking into a different day moisturizer and add a serum haha!
